We were searching for awhile for a great air purifier at a great price. We looked at the air doctor and compared it for awhile but went with this one and so glad we did! We noticed such differences in the air dust, lack of now! Im only needing to dust once a month and I dont have the cats furballs rolling like in the desert! Also, you know when you cook something like bacon and the smell lingers?! Not anymore! It takes that smell in and it comes out clean. Very very happy with this purchase and the replacement filters are only about $20 which is amazing, others were $50 or more! Everytime I vacuume, I go over the outside of the unit! It says every few months to machine wash the outside filter, its cloth material, and the inside filter depends on how much and often it needs to purify! Ill update once I find out! Highly recommend this product!

I bought this in preparation for California wild fire season. Its not a matter of if, sadly it is just down to when it will go down. So I wanted to get ahead of ut and be as prepared as possible. I got my first test to see if this machine could effectively remove smoke and clean the air of a ~2,000 sg. ft. home. Let me tell you, it was a small local fire that honestly I hadnt realized was happening and after a minute or so I looked and realized the purifier had kicked on (it is quiet and blends in like a nice white noise) when I saw the light had changed colors to red. I asked my husband what the red light meant and we the realized it smelled like smoke outside. We closed all the windows, and withing 3-5 minutes the living room (where we were sitting and our largest open room) no longer smelled like smoke. After maybe 10 minutes I went to the other side of the house to our spare bedroom where we had windows open and it too was free and clear of smoke smell. This is a game changer for us. We had friends who bought another device (its square and a different brand) that I had been looking at buying. I landed on Blueair after reading reviews, doing my due diligence, and determining the square footage it was supposed to work best with suited my housing better. Weve already started talking about getting a smaller unit for our bedroom, mostly because we have a gassy cat that will clear a room when we are trying to sleep. Its actually kind of brutal and amazing on what a small cat can produce.

It works great! I can tell the difference in the air quality since I bought this unit (311 auto). But, if you run it on anything other than the lowest setting it is way too loud. I have it in the living room and I can live with the noise level of the lowest setting. But the next level is too loud for me. The bigger the unit the more air volume it can filter. So, if you plan on running it on the lowest setting due to noise, I would get the biggest unit offered. I think in my case, it would be cool to have the unit be programmable so that I could set it to change to the higher fan speed at night or when Im not home. Im sure they would charge an extra $100 for that convenience.

I was looking for an air purifier to help with my allergies. After doing some research, I settled on this unit. This unit got excellent reviews from a variety of testing organizations. I have used this unit for about six months now, and I am quite satisfied with the purifier. In fact, I bought a second one. I put one in my study/media room and the other in my bedroom – the two rooms I spend the most time in. Interesting the electricity usage is quite minimal. I had read that it consumes only 0.3 watts when off and 0.6 watts when running at low speed. You could run this 24/7 and consume less than a dollar of electricity per month. I like the three-filter design: a coarse filter which is the washable cover, a HEPA-like filter and a carbon filter for odor. This unit is very light, so it is easy to move, and it is very quiet on the low mode – not so much on the high mode. Unless your air is quite dirty, it will probably always be running on the low mode when set to auto. The only complaint I have is the touch sensitive switch. Using this switch, you can switch from on/auto mode to night mode to everyday mode (medium speed) to boost mode (high speed) and then off. The problem is if I touch the switch sensor with my finger, it rarely works. Someone in the comments suggested using two fingers, and I found that this works much better. The manufacturer really needs to work on a new design for the switch. Fortunately, this is not a problem for me since I plug the units into timers. When you do this, the device comes back on at the previous setting.

Purchase was made 6 months ago . I have been impressed the cooking odors ( even bacon) doesnt linger. I b

had it several days and alergies still a problem but definately not as bad. we have the 211+ model in the living room wich works great. prefilters on anything tend to restrict airflow so we will try it both ways. only time and testing will tell. stay tuned for update. UPDATE : Took the prefilter off and sneezing got less. its an air cleaner NOT an air purifier ! pre filters on anything tend to restrict airflow. pre filters are designed for those with pets. the prefilter on any purifier/cleaner/or other does restrict airflow. if you check out smoke tests on youtube NO air cleaner/purifier is tested with the prefilter on the machine. i tested the CFM before and after and YES the cfm rating drops by roughly 1/3 wich challenges any efficiency on any machine. the main filter is allready slightly restricted do to the true hepa installed and therefore, there is no need for a pre filter unless you have pets. as a smoker i suggest turning your ceiling fan on counter clockwise (medium) or put this filter on a stand or printer cart type of stand. the smoke is elevated and once it gets near this cleaner the top fan blows it up in the air and the ceiling fan sends it back down. remember : any device without uv light or ozone is NOT an air purifier....its an air cleaner.

This is about the best in quality works fantastic.

We have two dogs that shed, so this runs on auto all night long. My sinuses discernibly better.

After just a few hours running, my room smelled fresh. Very easy to use, extremely quiet running. Night mode is great as there are no lights to disturb your sleep. Im definitely considering purchasing an additional unit for other rooms.
