I purchased this item as a gift for my wife as she has allergies that sometime kept her awake at night. The unit is completely quiet, even if I hold it next to my ear. Her allergies seem to be better and the air in the bedroom is definitely cleaner. I would strongly recommend this product.

We live in a small apartment and take it room to room. For example, we use it when were cooking or cleaning to clean up any smells. The biggest change is that it helps get rid of the corn chip dog smell in the bedroom. My husband loves it for his allergies. Great product

I bought this in preparation for California wild fire season. Its not a matter of if, sadly it is just down to when it will go down. So I wanted to get ahead of ut and be as prepared as possible. I got my first test to see if this machine could effectively remove smoke and clean the air of a ~2,000 sg. ft. home. Let me tell you, it was a small local fire that honestly I hadnt realized was happening and after a minute or so I looked and realized the purifier had kicked on (it is quiet and blends in like a nice white noise) when I saw the light had changed colors to red. I asked my husband what the red light meant and we the realized it smelled like smoke outside. We closed all the windows, and withing 3-5 minutes the living room (where we were sitting and our largest open room) no longer smelled like smoke. After maybe 10 minutes I went to the other side of the house to our spare bedroom where we had windows open and it too was free and clear of smoke smell. This is a game changer for us. We had friends who bought another device (its square and a different brand) that I had been looking at buying. I landed on Blueair after reading reviews, doing my due diligence, and determining the square footage it was supposed to work best with suited my housing better. Weve already started talking about getting a smaller unit for our bedroom, mostly because we have a gassy cat that will clear a room when we are trying to sleep. Its actually kind of brutal and amazing on what a small cat can produce.

We bought this on prime day primarily because we have 3 dogs who shed a lot. We keep up on dusting and cleaning but we were concerned with the “dog smell” since we can only do so much. We purchased this for our 600 sq foot apartment and we can never tell it’s on it is so quiet. We run it on auto mode and let it alone. We came back from a week vacation to absolutely no dog smell, just crisp air. The dogs were even inside the entire time with the sitter. I highly recommend this as it has helped keep our place clean and smelling great.

a little further (at least this particular model). I know some of the other models have auto settings. I dont need an Auto Mode but a shut off timer would be nice. This would help a great deal if they didnt nickel and dime to try and get people to pay for other systems. In addition they really need to change the controls for this device. Its terrible. Change it to either an electric or knob. The current control panel is a nuisance. In regards to noise, I dont find it bad. . BUT that may be due to the fact I always have fans and other devices on while up and about. Relating to size, the picture is quite deceiving . This particular model is bigger than it looks in the picture. Im not complaining. I like the size because it helps clean faster than a small room only system.

Had a laptop overheat and it was full of cat hair, so decided dusting alone was insufficient. Got the Blueair Pure 411 because it looked like it: would wrangle excess fur balls, quietly disappear into the background, and is “set it and forget it” automatic. It’s been deployed for duty in my living room/home-office for two months now and mostly forgotten about it. It looks “nice”, perhaps a bit larger than I was expecting, but don’t feel like I need to hide it. Most of the time can’t even hear it from ~2 meters away. Surprisingly, it doesn’t kick on when the robot vacuum is running. Guess the vacuum’s filter is just that good. It does go into overdrive whenever I make popcorn. This is loud enough that I give it a few taps to force it to silent mode. If you subscribe to new air filters through Blueair (sent periodically every X months) there’s a discount over buying them individually on Amazon. So, take that into consideration if looking at the total cost of ownership.

Im very ill and struggle with breathing sometimes. I have trouble cleaning my room due to my illnesses and I suspected the unclean environment wasnt doing me any favors either. I noticed that it was getting difficult to breathe specially when I was laying down. I would often wake up gasping for air. Ive had this air purifier over a week now and my breathing inside my room has improved greatly. If I have the filter at medium or full blast, Im not stuffy at all either. Im noticing Im not waking up gasping for air now. I cant believe the air my room was causing me so many issues. In fact, if I spend some time elsewhere in the house, my nose becomes stuffy again because my family doesnt use a purifier there. I have my purifier on all the time now. It has made some weird crackling noises only twice since I bought it. Its infrequent, though unsure what causes that. The auto setting is very quiet if filter detects the air is in good condition. Im able to sleep without issues while its on. If Im moving around my room, I set it to medium because I dont need it to be so quiet. I went with this brand because of how quiet it claimed to be compared to others available, the auto setting, and washable filter on the outside. It was a terrific investment for me and I only wish I had it since years ago. I never knew a device like this could really help me out with my health.

Being an extreme allergy sufferer, this is not my first trip to the air purifier rodeo. After reading reviews, I decided to try this unit out. It has performed wonderfully so far. And is by far one of the quietest units I have owned. The fact that it has an automatic air sensing function and will run accordingly is also a pretty great feature. So far my air quality is better as is my breathing and allergies

Love this air purfier. Its quiet and I believe it does work because I can feel a difference in the air quality. I also sleep better at night now with this in the bedroom. Really helps to collect the dust from carpeted rooms. Would highly recommend. I havent cleaned the filter yet but it looks pretty simple. The outer grey covering is velcroed so easy to wash.
