> 24 hourI gave these as gifts to a variety of people; and every one of them exclaimed how thoughtful it was, as all of us occasionally needs a good umbrella; and having one in the car as well as near our house door is a good plan. These appear to be very well made, too.

> 24 hourThis is a large umbrella with some weight that feels very sturdy. Best of all, I stayed dry throughout my walk in a steady rain fall with a bit of a breeze and ,thanks to a better design, I was still dry after lowering it. It truly contained all the water inside the folded umbrella!

> 24 hourThere are a ton of options on Amazon when it comes to travel umbrellas. Ultimately, I chose this one primarily because I wanted better quality, canopy size, and strength. I have used it about a dozen times so far, though not in significant wind, but here are my takeaways. Seems reasonably well made, but nothing that stands out other than the rib count and the fact that they use fiberglass in the rib construction. Here are the cons: despite being 210t, the black fabric is thin enough to allow light through which seems odd. It does seemsto shed water quite well due to the teflon coating, well see if it lasts. The handle is hard plastic, I was expecting a rubberized surface with more grip, and its frankly smaller than it should be. The strap is wide nylon webbing, and the opening is not large enough for more than meduim-large size male hands. There is slop in the shaft as you spin the umbrella left and right. May be of no consequence as far as performance, but makes it feel less solid. and finally, the open close action seems unbalanced. The umbrella opens lazily, but snaps closed with great force. The force required to close and cock the mechanism is not insignificant, either. Doesnt really bother me, but it might bother others. I suspect this might be an earlier version of this umbrella, and if so, I would suggest trying the newer one. For the money, not a bad value, but I was expecting to be more impressed.
