I love this product. The only downside is the price. I got the non Bluetooth option so I saved a little but 995 is quite a hefty price. The pros: the ANR is unbelievable. Very quiet and in my case it does not make the need to hear noises go away ( stall horn, etc...). Some pilots think that this makes it to quiet and you can’t hear the engine. I do not experience this. I am able to hear the vital engine noises that you want to hear and I am unable to hear the loud noises that you don’t want to hear. Overall a great product and would recommend to someone who has the budget.

When I first joined flight school, they gave me those free headphones for flight. As a new pilot back then, I thought flight headphones were meant to be tight and heavy. Those head phones always gave me headaches after each flight, and it keeps pulling off my hair if not cautious. I remember there was this time when I was doing my long cross country flight, during the returning flight, my head was spinning like crazy, thought I got COVID for real , slept a whole straight day after that flight and had high fever too. Checked up next day and I was all good. Until recently have I tried out my friends bose did I realise that flight didnt have to be such pain in the a** and how a headphone could really ruin your flight if not choosen the right now. This head phone is a beast, light and sturdy, I havent done tests with the noice cancelling so I cant say much but its definitely better than the cheap junk I was using back then.

its a nice headset, light on the head, but it doesnt beat a dave clarke! especially for the price one expects a LOT more... my fellow pilots recommended this one and i wonder why... for me it didnt give the upside of a bose in fact the controller added wait making it hang on me more than the DC. it is nice, but not a $1000 nice... I have my passengers use it and they love it, but for a PIC this is not it for me.

The Bose A30 Aviation Headset is best utilized where noise is pervasive, comfort is required and communication is critical. The Bose A30 is Bose’s highest-performing, full-featured around-ear active noise cancelling aviation headset to date. With 20% less clamping force than the Bose A20 and redistributed weight for superior on-head stability, the comfort of the A30 rises to the top among over-the-ear form factors. The Bose A30 Aviation Headset with Bluetooth further improves upon the comfort and functionality of the Bose A20 with a new acoustic design and a fully digital active noise reduction (ANR) system. As the first-ever around-ear aviation headset with three modes of user selectable noise cancellation, the Bose A30 enables pilots to control the noise they hear in the cockpit. Plus, the Bose A30’s optional Bluetooth interface and tap control for talk-through communication offer versatility for pilots across all aircraft. This pilot headset also features a toolless, side swappable boom mic and down cable, and its improved carry case has internal zippered storage and padded sides for extra protection.
