I use this headset in a loud, noisy, legacy USAF aircraft. It does wonders to cut down the noise. My hearing test baseline hasnt changed over a 15 year career using Bose Headsets. Highly recommended for those that cherish their hearing. I just need to start wearing them in the duck blind...

I had a $120 headset before these that worked fine, but hoo boy, the ambient noise level is blocked way better in the A20s making for a much more pleasant ride.

Best aviation headset

Within my first couple hours of use, these started emitting loud shrieking noises whenever I descended under partial throttle. The noises would go away when I pushed the earpieces hard against my head, or when I turned off the noise canceling. I dont wear glasses or a hat or anything else that would interfere with the seal, and on top of that I have a big head. Theres no tension adjustment so I couldnt adjust them to fit more firmly. So I pay over a thousand dollars for a headset, and now I have to go the hassle to ship them back for repair, and--get this--theyre going to take FIVE WEEKS to send them back. Youd think at this price point, if they screwed up badly enough to ship a defective product, theyd send you a replacement overnight mail. This is not only unacceptable quality but also unacceptable customer service.

Update to original review regarding the GA plug issue: Bose support promised 3 different times to send a replacement mic assembly to try to fix the GA plug issue. However, they never actually sent any. Seems someone at Bose keeps blocking the shipment. They said a glitch prevented shipment. But after 3 times, its obvious Bose doesnt take promises seriously. Bose: if you dont think a replacement will help, say so. Dont keep telling me you will send a replacement to fix it, and then never follow through. If you are looking for great support, Bose may not be for you. Buyers beware.

Incredible headset, worlds of a difference in sound quality. I bought this as my vert first headset and a testament to my resolve to follow my dreams all the way through. Very comfortable for long flights.

The quality of Bose is unmatched

Ive only had these for one day and I can already tell that they just do not muffle sound very well. They are very comfortable, and the noise cancelling is excelling. When I turn my head however, the seal breaks between my ear and the muffs. If this headset was $700 I might be able to get around that. But almost $1300 after tax??? Thats a bit pricey for not even having (lets face it) basic sound dampening like David Clarks...

While in descent there was a bad squeal that made you want to remove the earphone
