the equipment is really very good, comfortable and of excellent quality, the problem is that the photo of the product does not match the description. Amazons gross mistake. I ended up being led astray.

Stop looking at this product and talking yourself out of buying it because you dont need it or there are others that are cheaper or I get by fine with the set I have like I did for months before finally buying these. They are a game changer in comfort, audio and design. My old set would start to give me a headache after an hour or two but not the Bose. I can fly for hours without an issue allowing you to focus on the task at hand!

Headset is great. Sound is amazing. It eats through batteries though. I purchased rechargeable AAs from amazon so I don’t spend $100 on batteries every year.

I use this headset 4-5 days a week while training in various Cessna 172’s, and I am VERY happy with it. It is comfortable and lightweight — of course, I can’t promise it will be comfortable for YOUR head shape. Obviously, the headset goes on after the engine has been started (following my checklist!), and I am impressed every time I turn on my A20; the loud prop is muted, and I can hear ATC and my CFI perfectly. During climb out on the upwind leg, I sometimes see my CFI pressing his headset (not a Bose A20) into his ears to hear ATC — I never have to do that when I am wearing the A20. If you ever doubt the quality of the noise cancellation, do what I did ... forget to turn on the headset; then, turn it on during run up. Amazing!

I’ve been flying for three months and it’s held up great if your flying a “Cessna skyhawk 172 “you’ll need the dual plug ! Very important when choosing which headset , the noise cancellation works on double AA SO MAKE SURE you also carry extras at all times , as for the performance it’s great sound is overall great , noise cancellation is great and I wear 2 hours at a time and never feel ear fatigue ! The build is also super sturdy and it comes with a cart case which you can fit you log book in easily

I was on the fence about upgrading from David Clark but now I realize I shouldve done this a long time ago. I was initially saying that you should really invest in them if your going for commercial but honestly the amount of clarity it gives you with ATC is so valuable. Forget the comfortableness and the noise cancellation (which is amazing in itself) how about you catching an ATC transmission because you were able to hear them clearly? The bluetooth is a nice addition but as a student I wont be using it anytime soon. If you are going for commercial, save up the money and just buy them...yesterday lol. If you doing this as a hobby, at the end of the day I still recommend them. Its crazy worth it even though the price is up there.

How could you not give a bose headset 5 stars? Um, it doesnt...have built in sun shades? This is the best headset on the market in my opinion. I wish there were a better/less expensive option to bypass the need for batteries without replacing half the unit. If the batteries die though, your headset is almost worthless.

    A little bulky.

The Bose A30 Aviation Headset is best utilized where noise is pervasive, comfort is required and communication is critical. The Bose A30 is Bose’s highest-performing, full-featured around-ear active noise cancelling aviation headset to date. With 20% less clamping force than the Bose A20 and redistributed weight for superior on-head stability, the comfort of the A30 rises to the top among over-the-ear form factors. The Bose A30 Aviation Headset with Bluetooth further improves upon the comfort and functionality of the Bose A20 with a new acoustic design and a fully digital active noise reduction (ANR) system. As the first-ever around-ear aviation headset with three modes of user selectable noise cancellation, the Bose A30 enables pilots to control the noise they hear in the cockpit. Plus, the Bose A30’s optional Bluetooth interface and tap control for talk-through communication offer versatility for pilots across all aircraft. This pilot headset also features a toolless, side swappable boom mic and down cable, and its improved carry case has internal zippered storage and padded sides for extra protection.
