I went from a classic David Clark to the A20. I fly a Twin Otter and the difference is absolutely amazing. In the winter, when it is cold, the props make an ungodly racket at takeoff power. With th David Clark, I had to shout into the mic in order to hear myself. With th A20, I can speak normally when it is that cold. With the Bluetooth, long days arent so bad anymore...sync my phone or iPad, and listen to music all day! I hesitated spending $1500 on a headset for a long time. Even tried the QC15 with the uFly micsetup from a friend, but found it couldnt keep up in the Twin. I finally bit the bullet and ordered th Bose...I would do it again in a heartbeat. Absolutely fantastic!

I have the Dave Clark set $350, no noise cancellation and this new A20 from Bose $1100. The active noise cancellation on the A20 works great. Silence. The Dave Clarks have respectable passive noise abatement with their excellent ear cups. However, the Dave Clarks have a better, more sensitive mic. I think the Dave Clark mic is just better than the Bose mic, which sounds weak. With the Bose unit I have to put the mic very close to my mouth to hear anything in the earcups. Maybe Im doing something wrong. I would appreciate some feedback. I read the manual. I am a little disappointed in the Bose unit, which costs three times the Dave Clark headset.

This only cost me my right kidney and my 5 year old daughter. But it was totally worth it :P

The product received had a sticker from BOSE that indicated the item was shipped from their Returns and Replacements department. This was then sold by Amazon as a new product. The pricing was consistent with a new product. This is not accurate or correct. It should have been indicated as a return / replacement item from the manufacturer.

I got them after my previous headset failure. Omg even without ANR sound quality is great, with ANR I have strange feeling in my years, like I am under water, but it is not super uncomfortable.

Awesome headset. I use them in jets and GA planes, best headset out there.

If you have a big head like me, this may not be for you. After wearing for long periods of time the compression gives me a headache. Because if Covid I didn’t find this out in time for them to consider taking them back. They would not make an exception to the rule. So know I have a 1k headset that I’m not happy with. One size don’t fit all.

Sounds like a box fan is on in the other room when you wear these with a full throttle engine going. The most comfortable headset I have ever worn. I sincerely look forward to wearing these when I fly. You can’t buy your hearing. Well worth it.

I’m using Bose a20 since 2018 and this my 2nd pairs it’s the best in noise cancellation and sound quality.

The Bose A30 Aviation Headset is best utilized where noise is pervasive, comfort is required and communication is critical. The Bose A30 is Bose’s highest-performing, full-featured around-ear active noise cancelling aviation headset to date. With 20% less clamping force than the Bose A20 and redistributed weight for superior on-head stability, the comfort of the A30 rises to the top among over-the-ear form factors. The Bose A30 Aviation Headset with Bluetooth further improves upon the comfort and functionality of the Bose A20 with a new acoustic design and a fully digital active noise reduction (ANR) system. As the first-ever around-ear aviation headset with three modes of user selectable noise cancellation, the Bose A30 enables pilots to control the noise they hear in the cockpit. Plus, the Bose A30’s optional Bluetooth interface and tap control for talk-through communication offer versatility for pilots across all aircraft. This pilot headset also features a toolless, side swappable boom mic and down cable, and its improved carry case has internal zippered storage and padded sides for extra protection.
