> 3 dayThis is not your average hardware store steel wool. This is the mac daddy and is super even and consistent. I use the Lowes stuff if I want to knock the rust off of a pair of garden shears or something. Im an intermediate turner, and have done flat work for about 40 years. For my small wood turnings and boxes and such, I use this for the final stages of padding on shellac, or knocking back the nubs on a poly finish. No silicone in it so you can apply finish after use. Love it. Never in my life thought Id be giving this kind of rating over something as mundane as steel wool. :-)

> 3 dayI use 4-0000 steel wool for rubbing milk paint finishes to get a worn look this is the best 100 percent oil free I wouldn’t use anything else for the look that I want!

> 3 dayIt works and makes wood shiny with BRIWAX. But if I use this one minute, it becomes small and I need to use new one. I don’t know this is usual for this type of stuff.

> 3 dayWe bought this and the #4 size in a 5lb reel by Homax from Amazon. Super fine this one, very coarse the other. And the price was not so different for vastly different amounts of product! This is a small amount and so quite pricey - specialist size: for fine finishing/ shining of polymer clay or fine woods on things like models and pens.

> 3 dayVery good quality, ideal for metal finishes such as firearms, knives and other materials where Precision polishing in debris removal or a challenge. Is about the best material for the price I saw. The fact that it has no oils included make it an ideal shop Edition
