Briwax Oil-Free Steel Wool 0000

This is not your average hardware store steel wool. This is the mac daddy and is super even and consistent. I use the Lowes stuff if I want to knock the rust off of a pair of garden shears or something. Im an intermediate turner, and have done flat work for about 40 years. For my small wood turnings and boxes and such, I use this for the final stages of padding on shellac, or knocking back the nubs on a poly finish. No silicone in it so you can apply finish after use. Love it. Never in my life thought Id be giving this kind of rating over something as mundane as steel wool. :-)

Used to clean kitchen cabinets to refinish. No oil, which was great for a laquer finish. No Burks as stated!

Absolutely fabulous steel wool. I have not tried other 0000 steel wool but this Briwax 0000 steel wool made my sanded boards glass-like to the touch. Also this wool seems to be very durable.

great product for rust bluing guns

I purchased this to smooth polyurethane between coats. It works great, even thickness of roll that has nice texture. Would recommend, good value for a great product.

Great Steel Wool...perfect for the fine finishing of items.Excellent! This steel wool is a basic I use for all of my finishing needs. Satisfies all my requirements.

Comes in a roll, so waste is minimized. Use it to clean or polish stainless steel, aluminum and glass, etc... without leaving scratch marks!
