Brother Monochrome Laser Printer, HL-L5100DN, Duplex Two-Sided Printing, Ethernet Network Interface, Mobile Printing, Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready

The printer, brand new, out of the box was printing black spots all over the page. Contacted support on three separate occasions and still have no resolution. Each time I contact them, they have me run through the same exact routine each time as if Im contacting them for the very first time. I have a ticket number so there should be no confusion about what Ive done already. Ive spent at least three hours trying to get them to resolve this issue with no success. They sent a replacement toner and while that improved the situation, it still has a significant amount of black spots on the pages. The delay in waiting for the toner cartridge pushed the purchase date past 30 days, I cant return it, and Im stuck with this printer.

love the fact that I can print directly from my iphone now. Might install the app on my ipad as well, so I can print from it as well when I need to.

Everything I read led me to believe this is a wireless printer. It is not. After calling tech support, one finds that this printer requires an Ethernet cable. Unless I want the printer in the laundry room with the router, that just does not work.

Printer has very poor resolution, and smears ink across the paper consistently, I wish I could just get rid of it.

Hopefully this Brother laser printer will be as good as the last one I owned that lasted over 10 years and something like 200k+ pages. Good print quality and speed for the price.

A great product

Ordered and delivered by Amazon as promised. I presumed it was a wireless network printer. Instructions include procedure for connecting wireless. However, neither software nor printer input provided for connection to WLAN, despite clear instructions to do so. Contacted Brother customer service by chat. He said unit was not designed for wireless connection. Either the unit is misrepresented by Brother or customer service rep was ill-informed. I am reasonably computer savvy and have experience connecting previous printer to my wi-fi for mobile printing, so this whole experience was crazy. Returned unit to Amazon. Next printer will not be a Brother.

Great printer. None of the ink jams or resets to clean the printer head of all my past HP purchases.
