> 3 dayBig drawback to using this printer in a work environment is it cant feed NCR (carbonless) paper from the multipurpose tray. It pulls in 2 or 3 sheets at a time. It will properly feed carbonless from the main tray.

> 3 dayWe have bought this printer and then had to have it replaced a year and a half later because it stopped working and it was still covered under the Square trade warranty. We got a replacement under the warranty and now is not working again but we are out of warranty. Stay away from this printer if you have it in an office thats used daily

> 3 dayExcellent output, very crisp, sharp text and good graphics. Takes a big electrical load when heating up and is a bit noisy, but quieter than the older HL-5470DW. There is a setting that makes it even quieter but slows it down a bit. The fuser started to go after almost 4 years on that similar older HL-5470DW and it cost more to replace the fuser and drum than a new printer, sure hope this one is longer lasting. Even set to automatic duplex (called 2-sided now) it doesnt pull the paper back through when printing a single one-sided page thus speeding the output, unlike the older model. Have had no problems with it quickly waking up from sleep mode.

> 3 dayHave use Brother monochrome laser printers for years in my legal business. I recommend them because they can use high volume toner cartridges which I get from a reputable supplier with good non-brand name products at an extremely reasonable price. I print out a lot of documents, legal research materials, etc. and dont like spending excessive quantities of money on high cost toner cartridges from traditional office supply stores.

> 3 dayAfter a little more than 12 months, this printer simply stopped working. The error button lights up red and gives you no option to clear or fix or diagnose the problem.

Greater than one weekI use the manual sheet feeder very often and it constantly jams on the 1st page feed. Probably about 90% of the time it jams.
