Greater than one weekDurable/reliable, Fast. Printing sharp enough for office. Have not had power problem others have written about. Had to buy this new one rather than pay for new fuser or drum or both. This model is cheap enough to make that sensible.

> 3 dayOrdered and delivered by Amazon as promised. I presumed it was a wireless network printer. Instructions include procedure for connecting wireless. However, neither software nor printer input provided for connection to WLAN, despite clear instructions to do so. Contacted Brother customer service by chat. He said unit was not designed for wireless connection. Either the unit is misrepresented by Brother or customer service rep was ill-informed. I am reasonably computer savvy and have experience connecting previous printer to my wi-fi for mobile printing, so this whole experience was crazy. Returned unit to Amazon. Next printer will not be a Brother.

> 3 dayAs a person working in IT we all hate printers as it is. But this printer take the cake. This is a brand new printer and every print job is filled with black dots all over the page. Turning to brother support they recommend you clean the drum of any debris that can be causing these dots. This is a brand new printer!! I have a business to run. I bought this printer to aid with my business not to take more time out of my day. Even after cleaning the drum as recommended I am still getting black dots everywhere. Horrible printer. Will never buy a brother printer again. How can you allow this to happen? You have been warned. Do not buy!!

> 3 dayI bought this printer for occasional use and have regretted it. It leaks toner over the first page or two of most print jobs. After that, everything looks great and its a nice fast printer. However, if it sits for any length of time above about 5-10 minutes, it happens again on the next print job. I bought a new toner cartridge thinking that would fix the problem, but naively waited a few months before installing it. The new cartridge is doing the exact same thing. I contacted Brother, who told me the problem is with the toner cartridge, but of course I bought this cartridge more than 90 days ago so its now out of warranty and theres nothing they can do about. By the time I need a new toner cartridge the printer itself will be out of warranty... Theres no way I am buying another toner cartridge when I know its going to do the same thing. Especially when the printer itself cost less than 2 toner cartridges to begin with. I intend to throw this printer in the dumpster and find a new brand.

Greater than one weekShipping was good. Set up was a breeze. I use this printer in my home office network. It was so easy to setup i could not believe. I use windows 7 and windows 10. On win 7 i had to use the driver installation which took 5 minutes. On win 10 machines picked it up the printer and D/L the drivers for me. The printer prints fine for me, not noisy, and is very quick when it prints.

> 3 dayHad I known in advance that this printer is booby trapped to prevent use of partially used toner cartridges, I would not have bought it. It took a day of research and a lot of tinkering with the toner cartridges to bypass the downright sneaky booby trap. Rebuilt and aftermarket toner cartridges work just fine in this machine; however, you must never take one out if it has any toner left in it because the machine will reject it if you try to put it back in. This is akin to building a car that when a tire goes flat you cannot have it patched; rather, you have to buy a genuine Smashmouth Auto replacement tire which costs five times what other equivalent tires cost. Brother really has tried its best to screw the customer.
