> 3 dayFast, quiet, works. What else can I say? I have an RJ45 (network) interface so I cant speak to the USB or wireless setup. The duplexer works fine. I have not had a chance to evaluate the error codes as none have occurred. Just a good, basic laser printer. I use if for all my non-color jobs.

> 3 dayI use the manual sheet feeder very often and it constantly jams on the 1st page feed. Probably about 90% of the time it jams.

> 3 dayJust terrible print quality with a grey background with streaks and splotches (see photo). Print quality was good at first but deteriorated after one or two months and maybe 200 pages (current page count is 398). I performed the cleaning procedure according to instructions on Brothers web site. The problem reappeared within a few days. Next, I called Brother support where the agent walked me through the same procedure. I asked her what I should do if the same problem appeared again. She told me to buy a new cartridge, and if that didnt help, buy a new drum unit. Great! The problem appeared once again. This time I read Brothers warranty which states consumables (drum unit and cartridge) are covered for 90 days. I contacted a Brother Authorized Service Center about getting it repaired. Turns out that you have to get authorization from Brother before an Authorized Repair Center will work on your printer even though this is not stated in the warranty. When I called Brother again, they wanted me to go through the whole cleaning procedure again. Then to actually get a repair authorization, you have to call back within 7 days with the same problem. Ive never experienced a warranty hassle like this. Ill never buy another Brother product since their support is so horrible.

> 3 dayFast shipping. I thought mobile printing meant wireless, but not so. The printer works great, does two sided without having to flip paper. Clear printing, fairly easy to set up

> 3 dayWe use this to print several hundred meeting lists each month for our organization. These are legal size printed on both sides with high coverage. We have had absolutely no problems with it.

> 3 dayPrints great when it doesnt jam or pull two checks/papers at one time... Cant use it for office checks because it sometimes pulls 2 checks instead of one & then the sequence is off. It wont even print 3 checks in a row without screwing up. Even printing reports, it sometimes pulls 2 sheets & jams, & that is different paper than the check paper.. So I am back at finding a printer that will print consecutive checks& not screw the sequence #s up..

> 3 dayI purchased the HL-L5100DN laser printer in 2020 with high expectations since my 2 previous laser printers had each performed for 10+ years (earlier HP, and a Brother HL-5250DN). 5 Stars initially with great expectations 4 Stars when I realized it shipped with a starter toner cartridge, and I had to purchase a replacement which added $100+ to the expected cost. 3 Stars when I started experiencing problems printing envelopes and small page sizes. The text would rub off the envelope. The problem occurred with the Windows 7 driver and the Ubuntu (Linux) driver. 2 Stars when I had to replace the drum because of repeating periodic missing print areas on the page. Cleaning the drum did not resolve the issue. 1 Star when recently the paper creased when printing duplex which I do often. I tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual and online for the 3 problem. I had a chat session with Brother support and tried to find a solution to the 2 problems: envelop printing and duplex paper creasing. No new insight or solution. Printer is out of warranty. Take to a authorized service center. Likely repair cost maybe $155 fuser and $55 duplexer.
