> 3 dayPoor print quality with Google Cloud Print. This issue is not specific to this model. According to various posts several models of Brother printers are affected by fax like quality when printing through Google Cloud Print. Its very noticable on even the simple printout like the spreadsheet attached to this review. Its really sad because overall this is a very nice printer. It was easy to setup, it prints super fast. But my main use case is printing via Google Cloud Print so for me this printer is no good. Returning it.

> 3 dayDecent printer for under $200. Pre-covid price was $150. Most other things have gone back to normal but not printer prices.

> 3 dayFlawless. That describes this new Brother HLL5100DN printer. The unit has a very quick start-up time, relatively quiet operation and great print quality. In addition to this, the DN in the name designates this as a duplex and networking printer. The unit features an Ethernet port and USB, and its built in duplexer prints double-sided without adding much time to the print job. Unlike other printers in this price range, the 5100DN also features a display for status messages and a variety of keys for option programming. Most printers in this price range just have a basic error light, so having quick access to problem messages is great. In a small to medium business or busy home, this printer will be a perfect addition. Toner is relatively cheap, and the paper tray has dual media option, for regular sheets, and envelopes.

> 3 dayThis is just the latest Brother laser printer Ive bought for my business. Generally they work ok but this one has exhibited printing problems since first use. I bought this so we can print clean labels to affix to various products, since our work horse Brother HL-L6200DW printer inevitably get gummed up from printing shipping labels but its not a big deal there. This HL-L5100DN has struggled with labels in every respect from first use: • labels in the multipurpose (MP) tray frequently mis-feed • labels are usually coated in a gray toner haze across the entire 8.5x11 sheets. Of course I am using the correct Brother printer driver and label settings. But no combination of settings and/or cleaning the drum fixes the issue. Transitioning to printing the same labels on my HL-L6200DW was giving clean output, until I replaced the drum in that unit and quality went down the toilet. Oh Brother.

> 3 dayBig drawback to using this printer in a work environment is it cant feed NCR (carbonless) paper from the multipurpose tray. It pulls in 2 or 3 sheets at a time. It will properly feed carbonless from the main tray.
