> 3 dayWe have tried 4 brothers ink toners in this printer and without fail every page that prints is filled with ink. Contacted brothers who sent yet another toner, and it continues to happen. Never going to get another for the office again.

21-11-2024This printer has serious issues staying connected to wi-fi. It goes into deep sleep and cant maintain a connection to wi-fi. Which means I had to do wireless setup again. I did. Immediately upon unplugging it and moving it to another office, it connects to the internet for approximately 45 seconds before dropping connection. Ive never been so disappointed with a brother printer before.

> 3 dayWe have had this brand new printer replaced twice and none has worked properly. It creases every copy unless you use a heavy bond paper (like 32 lbs.) and it consistently feeds from the wrong drawer. TOTAL JUNK. Will never buy another Brother product. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. Will be returning this 3rd printer also.

> 3 dayThis is the most entry level of the small office laser machines from Brother that has wi-fi. The L5100DW does not have wi-fi. We have an additional individual laser printer that works great for one PC as well. The setup was super easy on Windows 10. There is an installation CD which was very user friendly. We set up three office PCs to this one printer with no problems. The toner lasts a long time - we typically use the high capacity toner and it lasts for at least a carton of paper (typically longer) so the 8000 page claim is probably accurate. Printing is fast and the duplex printing very quick and saves paper. This is a basic, no frills machine, but it does the job. I prefer the Brother laser printer/copier combos, but this is a very good machine for basic black and white printing needs for small offices / home offices.

> 3 dayThe first one I ordered did not work - Missing Drum Unit or something like that. The second printer works well, but I could not install it as a network printer. I had to install it as a USB printer. Then after the installation, I could move it to the network. I then had to change my driver settings to get it to work, but it seems to be working okay for now. Im keeping my old OKI B431dn until Im sure.

> 3 dayYou will go full office space on this printer if you are trying to print important papers using your wireless network. You’ll troubleshoot the issue and remain calm through the process thinking, maybe I didn’t connect it right. Maybe it’s me. So you reconnect the WiFi network and get a printed confirmation page. Ahhh, good to go. Let’s try again. Print > nothing. You look over at your peppy highly reviewed brother printer with an overall 4 star review wondering why aren’t you working for me??! Then after the 4 time reconnecting the WiFi through the wizard setup that you are now sure you are using correctly because you watched the GD YouTube video you hit print for the last time. And what does it do?? It makes a noise and then switches over to I sh*t you not ... “Deep Sleep”. ... All that’s left is to start the return process and leave a 1 star review as a warning to your fellow man. Stay safe out there folks, and don’t buy this printer.

> 3 dayThis is the best little monochrome printer Ive owned. It prints fast and clear black and grey images. Its great for letters, school papers and file copies. I love the fact that it stays in sleep mode when not in use and kicks in really quickly when I send a job to print. Its very quiet and the black ink is nice and dark. Also the size is great to fit on a bookshelf or in the corner of a desk. Its perfect for home or light business use.

> 3 dayIf it is plugged in its fine. WIRELESS it cant connect to any thing! All of the Im a notary reviews talked me into getting it because Im a notary as well. I have to delete it and download it every single time I have to print from any of my laptops unless I want to plug it up via usb which is not worth all the work! Now, I am purchasing the 2nd printer this year.
