Greater than one weekI bought one in April 2017. The printer started smearing bar codes and bold font after 7 months. Customer service told me to clean it and when that didnt work, they said the drum and toner were only warrantied for 90 days. A replacement drum is $116. A drum should last more than 7 months.

> 3 dayThe Brother HL-L5200DW Laser Printer replaced a Lexmark E260DN. The Brother HL-L5200DW does everything the Lexmark E260DN did and more. LAN setup was easy. I did not setup WiFi.

> 3 dayExcellent printer had it for a year and still using the trial toner that it came with. It connected well with my home wireless network. I can print from all of my laptops and even my cell, I dont know anything about setting up hardware and have no idea how I did it but it works.

> 3 dayBrother sent me a paper-jam and error machine, not a printer. I’m lucky if I can get 3 pages through without needing to readjust the paper in the tray. Sometimes, I’ll readjust the tray multiple times just to get one page printed. The problem seems worse when printing double sided and somehow, the printer changed my default settings to double sided. This thing is a disaster. It’s supposed to be my printer at work, but I find myself going home to use my Canon printer. This unit is not a multifunctional printer, no scanner, no copy, no fax, and yet it costs $170.

> 3 dayMy cannon copier broke after 20 years. Please do not buy this if your looking for a copier. I misread that and now Im out of the $320 I spent for Brother HL-L5200DW with the toner and warranty (which never came).

> 3 dayWe do a lot of auto printing with these printers. They really do the job well. Sturdy, small enough for a table top and great print results. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is that we have to buy Brother toner replacements. None others will work in these printers - weve tried several. The OEM extended life toners do last longer but it would be nice to have another lower priced option.
