> 3 dayI never met a Brother printer I did not like... This printer set up easy and I love the app for my android phone.. you need to take your time and understand the difference between the Brother printers.. The model codes can be confusing at first but they are really easy to understand once you catch on..

> 3 dayThe printer is good, light and comfortable. BUT YOU DIDNT MENTION THAT IT CANNOT PRINT IN COLOR. THIS PRINTER ONLY PRINTS IN BLACK AND WHITE, WHICH IS VERY BAD!!!

> 3 dayLikes: Print quality is good at its price range. Consumables are relatively inexpensive for a laser printer, and have good yields. (And also has a High Yield cartridge option) Can operate on wired and wireless networks. Wakes up from sleep every time. Can print on Avery index card sheets. If it was not for the issue noted below, it would be a great value for its cost. Dislikes: If the printer isnt used for more than a few days, toner streaks appear on the first few print jobs of the day. The cleaning steps are ineffective, and the same thing happens the next day. This means that toner cartridge, and possibly also the drum unit, are defective, according to Brothers Tech Support. However, they will not replace either under the 1 year warranty, since to them, its been more than 90 days since they were purchased (both came with the printer). So Ill have to spend $180 on a $200 printer to see if this actually fixes the problem. Will definitely seek other options, and Id recommend you do the same, as this doesnt seem to be isolated to just a few of these printers.

16-11-2024Pros: GigE, Apple AirPrint via Bonjour, painless wireless configuration in both macOS and Linux, greatly improved font emulation options leading to high quality serif fonts by Adobe, Linotype, etc without any visible pixelation. Cons: None Tips: The print systems for Linux with CUPS 2.2-2.3 and macOS Mojave’s 10.4.4 making adding to an AirPort Extreme Bass Station painless. Go into the command panel and under Networking make sure in WiFi that AirPrint is enabled. Launch Airport Utility and select your base station under macOS choose Add WPS Printer. Press the WiFi button on the printer panel which initiates an address request. After a few requests the panel inside macOS will inform you the HL L5200DW is asking to connect. Add it Print System panel opens with a Bonjour option to select the printer so do so. It autoconfigs and make the unit AirPrint available inside your network. On Debian Linux with GNOME 3.30 select the printer option and it will be listed already configured

> 3 dayJust took it out of the box. Warning light that there is a paper jam. Looked, no paper jam. No biggie, just contact Brother and initiate a chat. Wait, chat only available to Canadians. No way someone in American can chat with support. So, throw it back in the box and leave it at the curb.
