> 3 dayI am an amateur videographer and this labelmaker has been an absolute godsend for me. I have an absurd plethora of wires, cables, batteries and SD and CF cards which can be challenging to keep organized and identified - for example, I find it absolutely essential to label (number) all of my batteries so I know at an instant which batteries are fresh and which are not. Same thing with the SD and compact flash cards used by my camera and audio recorders. Before purchasing this unit, I had experience with a number of Brother pTouch labelmakers - the kind that use the shiny plastic tape. While those labels were pretty, and perhaps a bit more professional in appearance, they are also quite thick and more than a little prone to falling off. That meant I simply could not use them on anything going inside a camera or recording device. But the label tape used by this unit is quite thin and doesnt obstruct anything. I have no qualms about using them on any of my devices. Other things I like? I love that this device wastes very little tape and is so easy to use, whether with the EZ-Lite software or as a printer connected to my laptop. It prints fast and it prints dark, and thats all I need it to do. I dont use this for address labels or to print fancy graphics, so cannot comment on that aspect of the labelmaker.

> 3 dayThe software is just horrible and makes the printer useless at random intervals. Years ago I enjoyed using a brother label printer. I tried using that printer when I switched to a mac, and the mac hung. I spent hours trying to make the printer work, with no luck. I went to sleep cursing Brother. Next morning, the printer worked. I have no idea how or why! When it works (increasingly rare), the printer is a pleasure to use. The printer doesnt sense what size label its printing on, which is ok sometimes..... I choose the closest size. But sometimes I do that and the printer wont print and gives me error messages about the wrong labels being in the printer. I try rebooting everything... sometimes that helps sometimes not.

> 3 dayBrotherly Love...? sorry... not feeling it...! I bought this printer brand new only to discover that it doesnt work with windows 10... Yes, there is a firmware update you can install....BUT you can only install this firmware update if you have an older system that can connect to the printer...! so if you have windows 10 and you just bought this printer... better call that old friend who has an older windows computer..

> 3 dayCAUTION! If you are Mac user, think twice about buying this product. A great deal of what it can do only works on Windows. That any company can just ignore millions of Mac users is just ridiculous and perhaps is meaningful in terms of their continuing support.

> 3 dayVery nice Label printer. It works with a hardcode (holes on the support) that identifies which label sizes you are using. It would be useful to determine personalized label sizes by software or configuration. I have also not found how to cancel the auto-switch Off function. That means, I cannot leave the printer on for remote printing. (switches of automatically) Otherwise its a quit reliable printer. I am using it in a small company and it does its job.
