Brother QL-700 High-Speed, Professional Label Printer

> 3 dayGreat little label printer (its not tiny, but smallish and quiet). It auto senses the label size and auto feeds a new roll so changing sizes is fast. The cutter is wonderful; cuts every label or after a string of pre-cut labels. It took a bit of time to load the full software and updates, but it was worth it. It does have a library of label designs but the handiest are the borders. The rest is as good as most graphics editors. We had our logo and web site QR code on product labels soon after the firmware and software was all updated. It can produce ~90 labels a minute in standard resolution, but the high resolution output is worth the wait if you want small QR codes and bar codes. Speaking of bar codes, the bar code tool will generate a bar code graphic compliant with a long list of standards. I didnt expect this but its definately something to think about if you want to bar code just about everything.

> 3 dayMy new favorite label(er) maker. The software wasnt necessarily super easy or intuitive and the original labels werent what i needed for address labels, but now it rocks. I didnt try to import my old addresses and I have no idea if that can be done, but starting anew I effectively wash old data out anyway. How long does it take to add a new address? This thing is so fast, it does turn off after it isnt used for a bit but after the second time wondering where my label is i now remember. Loading new labels is also easy and fast. Id buy again but I doubt I will need to, seems heavy duty so far, printing is crisp, doesnt smear.

> 3 dayNo problem so far. Very happy with it. And best of it is that you dont need ink for it. Easy to work with it.

> 3 dayThis is a really good label printer. I bought the Seiko first and did not like it - too complicated and the characters were not very distinct on the labels. This Brother is very easy to set up. It loads basic software just by hooking up the USB. I have not loaded the more expansive software that comes with the disk - I dont need all of that. I do two things with this in my professional office - print address labels for legal size envelopes and print file folder labels. I have found that the standard address labels (DK-1201) will accomplish both purposes without having to change rolls. It is fast and the print quality is really good. I no longer have to burn up my laser printer feeding envelopes throught it. This machine is larger than the others, but the quality trumps the size for me.
