I have a Brother project runway CE1100prw which a friend gifted to me after she found sewing was not her thing haha. Sadly she had lost all the bobbins so I went down to the sewing store and they gave me the wrong dang bobbins (not these). I used them for quite awhile and though they got projects done they were always wobbling and noisy, and knotted the thread on occasion. I thought I just didnt have a great sewing machine. Then came the day I decided to buy some more and found out I was using the wrong ones! And in ships these. They seem to be very good quality, and work well. Wound thread nicely, and fits/works perfectly in my sewing machine. Its like I bought a new one! Very glad I decided to get these

I was a little disappointed that my brand new sewing machine was incompatible with the 30 or so bobbins I already owned, but these are the right ones for my machine. They are larger than the old fashioned ones. I read some bad reviews on a generic version, so I went with the name brand Brother bobbins since I have a Brother sewing machine. I like that the packaging is actually recyclable, but would be even happier, if they had metal bobbins available. (PS. The few bobbins that actually came with the machine had nice little clips that kept the bobbins from unraveling. These bobbins here do NOT come with any clips and I cant seem to find the clips for sale anywhere.)

I couldnt find this bobbin in either of our local fabric stores, and was happy to find them on Amazon. I recently purchased by first Brother machine, and the bobbin is every-so-slightly different from my Singer. I cant tell from which is which by looking at them, but the Brother machine can tell, believe me! I accidentally grabbed a filled Singer bobbin when sewing on the Brother yesterday and had all kinds of problems with loopy thread and tension issues, until I finally figured out what Id done. Moral of the story is: just because some bobbins look alike -- theyre not -- and the machine knows! Now I know to keep them separated in clearly marked containers. Good purchase at a good price.

I bought these bobbins with my machine, from Amazon. They work fine for straight stitching, but not for complicated embroidery stitches. Thread bunches up on underside of fabric. This has happened twice. Ill shop for actual Brother bobbins.

Great Brother quality and they fit my CS6000i perfectly. Ive had no problems or frustrations with them. They click in correctly when winding a bobbin and drop in smoothly when inserting into the machine.

Perfect compatibility with my Brother CS-7000X.

Ive tried generic class 15 bobbins from a local store on my Brother CS6000i, but they had two problems: 1. The notch was a little large, so they did not lock solidly on to the winding mechanism. When winding a bobbin and it starts to get full, the thread tension can change, causing the generic bobbin to slip on the shaft. The result looks a lot like the dont use bobbins wound like this from your sewing machine manual. The genuine Brother bobbins lock solidly, dont slip, and wind properly. 2. The bobbin was slightly loose in the bobbin case (the part of the machine where the bobbin is while sewing.) This was a much bigger problem, because it caused the thread to jump out of the tensioning spring after a few stitches. The machine would still sew, but not well since the tension was out of balance. With the genuine Brother bobbins, the thread stays on the correct path, and the machine works the way its supposed to.

It is more transparent than the original one, however this one works well for brother xr9550.
