deglazed my cylinders, and got it to work with my engine still in the car. only had to shorten it up

It worked well for my SBC. I thought it should last longer than 1 V8 engine honing. Maybe its not supposed to, I dont know when I was done I noticed the dingle balls were smoothe.

does a super job leaving a cross hatch pattern in the cylinder.

Once I got the speed down it put perfect crosshatches on my cylinder walls. About 15 strokes per cylinder seemed about right and the hose still looks like it has plenty of life left

Ive only done one practice engine with this hone so far, but none of the balls came loose like others have mentioned, and it is true to size so that = 5 stars from me. I had to plunge in and out of the cylinders fairly quickly when using a 400RPM drill to get a 45 degree cross hatch, but that seems common to this type of hone. Ill update this review when I complete the engine I actually bought it to use on.

I was very pleased with how well that this brush worked. I had one of these hones for over 20 years until someone borrowed it and never brought it back. What I am trying to say is that this is a very high quality hone, and will last a long time

Worked great for a stock bore 5.3/4.8 vortec

took the glaze off quickly. Very pleased. delivery and packaging were also good.
