> 3 daydont have a lot of experience with honing, so nothing really to compare it to. there is a technique to get the right cross hatch pattern. just used it to clean up the cylinder wall when installing new rings. have to move it quickly depending on the drill speed, but it left a really nice pattern and cleaned it up really nice. its quite aggresive so it only takes a few seconds. be careful

21-11-2024Used to clean surface rust from the inside of the stick cylinder on a case 580c. The rust was light so I needed a home that would not cut in to much and leave the bore rough. I used a 240 grit 4-1/8” diameter hone. The finish was not that rough but I probably should have moved up to the 320 grit.

Greater than one weekJust used it on one aircraft cylinder, but it did an amazing job. Other mechanics in the shop were equally amazed. The cylinder broke in very well.

> 3 dayWorks as it should, does the job. Its not perfect lol, its a dingle hone, so dont expect machine level results. But if youve got a thin bit of surface rust, or youre just a cheap slop like myself who needed to hone the cylinders in my junky rally car. Its great.

> 3 dayI love this hone! It works great and no fuss. I used it on a 6.5 turbo diesel to remove surface rust and bring it back to running order for a rebuild

> 3 dayDoes an excellent job honing cylinder walls. Makes it easy to get a perfect cross thatched finish. For this price it is a very good tool.

Greater than one weekI have a 3000 mile freshly rebuild 355 sbc. Went with new rings rods and pistons.. A quick Hone to knock the glaze off was exactly what it needed. Does a great job !!
