> 3 dayThis seems to be a well made tool. The abrasive tip is connected to the metal center with plastic leaders but they seem to be sturdy enough to handle the work. If you are reading this you know what it is for and it seems to fit the bill quite well. Keep in mind when purchasing that you will want to make sure you get the size and grit needed for your application.

Greater than one weekPut a great cross hatch pattern in bores for new rings. the end is a littel trickey to center on drfill so pressure is the even throught the honing process. Make sure you line it up first before use ( very important).

> 3 dayUsed to clean surface rust from the inside of the stick cylinder on a case 580c. The rust was light so I needed a home that would not cut in to much and leave the bore rough. I used a 240 grit 4-1/8” diameter hone. The finish was not that rough but I probably should have moved up to the 320 grit.

> 3 dayI used this hone on a 2.4l Volvo block to deglaze and put new cross hatching in the cylinders. This hone works amazing and was worth every penny. I was very nervous about doing this myself but after the first one I was comfortable with it. I used a Dewalt 20v drill on high and ran it up and down multile times for 2 passes using ATF as lubricant. The before and after speaks for itself. This thing works great.

21-11-2024I am no expert on cylinder homing, but had no issue using this hone. It worked as expected and my cylinders are now honed. Just a few seconds per cylinder and the job was done. I only needed it for 2 cylinders so I dont know how durable it is, but it seems like it is good quality to me.
