Fast, easy to use. I lubricated with transmission fluid. Took glaze off fast and left nice crosshatch. You must move quickly up and down. Lubricate hone between each cylinder.

If a brush can be a work of art, this is the brush. Works absolutely amazing at de-glazing cylinder walls. This brush is what is recommended by most, if not all vehicle manufacturers.

Got a Chevy 6.0 from a buddy of mine for free, used this hone to deglaze the cylinders. Seem to work awesome on a 4 inch bore with the 240 grit hone. Not sure why I ever wasted time with a 3-stone style hone. The dingleball hone worked way better.

Ordered a few different grits to take out some gunk and pits from an engine i am working on. You can definitely see the improvements and new life these products can provide under the right circumstances. Sadly for my case the damage to my engine is more than i feel comfortable dealing with, with a hone at least. Will be buying these products in the future for sure!!

I contacted Brush Research to make sure I was getting the appropriate hone, because the option list is extensive and I wanted to be sure I ordered the correct brush. The staff was very helpful and answered my questions and advised me on the right brush to buy. However the price they told me for buying it direct from them was considerably more than buying from Amazon? So Amazon it was, still their product. I used it with a cordless drill using 5w-30 oil for about 20-40sec. I think it worked great and the cylinders for my Super Beetle look awesome and are ready to go back together. Cheap fix, saving the time and cost of taking parts to a shop for simple honing. Thanks Brush Research.

Works great. Produces a very good finish without cutting. Great tool if your cylinders are in good shape. I had to use a 3 stone hone to cut a little out of my cylinders and used this tool to get a good final finish after cutting. A+

Cleaned surface rust from unprotected cylinders and made them look new. Very happy with results and quality.
