> 24 hourProduct works, but sometimes for no apparent reason while using the product with the radio after transmitting a message and release of the button the radio will power off and back on again reading out the message and not receiving the first 5 seconds of someone else’s transmission. This has happened with a couple different of these to both me and my father on separate radios. This “glitch” is isolated to the battery eliminator pack.

> 24 hourExactly what it says; takes the place of the battery, and lets you plug into the 12v outlet. Great for in-car radio use, especially paired with a hand mic and external antenna. Lets me run APRS through my uv5r (with an external device) all I want on the move without worrying about the battery running out.

> 24 hourThe battery appears to be well made with a sturdy case. Cant beat the price for a L-Ion battery. When I tried to install the battery, it wouldnt slide all the way into the radio. It was blocked by a protrusion on the front of the radio case where the UV-5RA badge is located. A few minutes with a file to remove some plastic on the front of the battery and it fit fine. Strange that a battery from BaoFeng didnt fit right on a BaoFeng radio but Hams adapt.

> 24 hourThis extended battery has worked great and the length is more ergonomic than the standard battery. Ive notice the battery stands more fily when setting it down and still fits all Bofeng holders Ive purchased

> 24 hourCant speak for the performance yet - Ill update that later. For now I just wanted to easy any concerns users of the Baofeng BF-F8HP: these do fit, though they are VERY tight. Im perfectly fine with a tight fit over a loose fit. You have to push the pack in very hard to get it to click, and it may take several tries to get used to it. Getting them off is slightly more difficult, but again, if it means a real good tight fit I dont mind so much. I do highly recommend removing the antenna before taking it off, as its too easy to want to pull on the antenna for leverage, and thats a very bad idea. No modification necessary for the Baofeng BF-F8HP on either of the two I own. The fit is VERY tight, but thats a good thing.

> 24 hourThe eliminator works very well. I have my hand held on the bench with my base radio so I can monitor two bands at the same time. This set up of course would use up the battery very quick. The eliminator saves the battery for mobile use.

> 24 hourHow to buy separate charging cord to charge it. Do not know if it works since it does not sit properly into my radio
