> 24 hourGreat little compressor. This is perfect for my application. It’s a permanent fixture in my go kart race trailer. It’s super quiet and supplies all the air I need at the track to keep up with three karts. The generator (3500 watt Champion), doesn’t even sure when it kicks in. Easy to set up. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

> 24 hourSuper quiet. Lightweight. Fills quickly. My kid, the engineer, said to buy this one. I agree. Perhaps a few dollars more than the cheapie brands, but this critter hums. Literally hums.

> 24 hourThe wheels are cheap as hell and constantly come loose. It has a warning on it against running the compressor for more than an hour or so or else it will burn up. If youre just driving nails or doing light painting its fine but if youre planning to spend hours with the compressor running continuously, or you plan to leave this plugged into your garage 24/7, this is not the device for you. This is very much a hobbyist grade machine for light work.

> 24 hourMy wife and I are renovating a mid-1960s house, ultimately planning to live here full-time. My 27gal compressor back home was sorta-portable (wheels & stood vertically) but not easily transportable between the two houses. While researching for a small, quiet compressor for the reno my original compressor violently self-destructed. (:- Portability became much more important. The 8010 is small enough and light enough to strong-arm into a car trunk. Tank capacity is completely adequate for my needs (air gun, light sandblasting, minor cut-off work.) At this level its ideal. BUT--I also needed a relatively-quiet unit. My original was not, and as my wife has offices at both locations Im particularly careful about how much noise I generate. This California Air Tools compressor is billed as ultra-quiet, and thats an excellent description. This is easily the quietest compressor Ive every used, and that includes the little carry-along tire compressors one carries in a car trunk. I have a cousin who has a home-shop in which she makes things for her business. I learned they needed a compressor for some airbrushing they need to do. As noise in her shop is also a big consideration, I was able to recommend this compressor without reservation. Id buy it again, for sure. And yes, I did buy it. I have never accepted compensation for anything I review.

> 24 hourIt is definitely quieter than my last one and light weight, which makes it fairly easy to transport to job sites. Because it is cheaply built, not surprising for the price, Im really paranoid about damaging it in any way. I dropped my last one a couple of times and it still held together. Not confident that something wont break off with this one. Otherwise, it does what I need it to do.

> 24 hourI use this in a small garage. My old compressor was much smaller and would rattle your teeth when it kicked on. This one is much quieter and makes my workplace much more pleasant to be in.

> 24 hourDon’t believe any reviews to the contrary, this is as quiet, or quieter, than advertised. I needed something I could run in the house without damaging my children’s hearing and this fits the bill. It’s orders of magnitude quieter than the 6 gallon porter cable I used to use. The only down sides are the aluminum tank, while lighter than the steel porter cable, is not as light as hoped. Also, the handle for pulling it on the wheels is to short to be almost useless for someone who is 5’10” tall. Also, they say it’s made in San Diego California, but the box says made in China. Not good.

> 24 hourI like it. It tips over backward though if you’re not careful. Needs more lateral and longitudinal stability. Better wheels would help and maybe a few more stabilizing feet.

> 24 hourQUIET! Makes less noise than air tools, like 2 hands clapping. FAST! 8-gallon tank fills in about 2 minutes. LIGHTWEIGHT! Easily pulled aluminum unit from box with one hand. LOOKS GOOD! Nice silver paint. Lower profile than v-twin motors. NO OIL! Less mess & headaches. Teflon-coated pistons & cylinders reduce friction & sound. EASY! Assembly a breeze. Drain lever is visible at side, & quicker to open than threaded plug. Use on tires, lug nuts for brake jobs, clean dust, pressurize smoke to test vacuum leaks or remove stains. Solvent on 1 side & air on the other, works like a charm. This is a game-changer, by far the best Ive ever seen.
