> 3 daypicked one up for dusting out stuff at work, its nice, its not silent, but you can have a conversation over it. wish it was either a little less top heavy, or if it had a longer bent up handle. but for the price its good..

> 3 daygreat product very well boxed with doubled walled carton outside and the unit was packed in the same manner (Ive worked in shipping and warehousing) so thats a plus for me. Compressor worked fine. Welds were very good. Maybe this is because I bought the 1080A not the steel model. I dont weld but I know a good weld when I see it) California Air has the quiet and rapid refilling compressor you should defiantly want to buy had a drain valve with a loose stem, not sure what to do? other than that I am completely happy the California Air Tools 8010A You cant go wrong with this compressor

Greater than one weekIn 2017 I purchased one of these compressors for a large Co2 laser cutter I own. I like the fact that it is very quiet as compared to other compressors Ive owned. I have recommended this compressor to several friends. In November of last year (2020) I purchased another one of these compressors to use for some light construction / remodeling work. I had only used it a couple of times when the air pressure gauge was gently bumped and to my surprise blew off! The gauges thin copper broke in half and and left half of the male copper threaded tube inside a female custom fitting. I phoned the company and told them about my problem. They suggested I purchase an extraction tool, heat up the fitting (so the locktite would break free), and extract the left over piece. I followed their instructions and unfortunately the female fitting cracked / broke-off (cheap pot-metal - see pic :( ). Now Im stuck with a practically new compressor and $$$$$$ to get this thing fixed! My time is more valuable than the repair cost/ time so Ill likely just purchase a compressor built for construction. I would avoid this unit if you plan to bring this to a job site.

> 3 daySo quiet when its running (we can use it in the house and have a conversation at the same time). Seems efficient in terms of consistent cycle during use. Our lesson is you *must* drain tank when youre done for the day. We left it pressurized and after one day the check valve spring was compressed and it wouldnt start. Once we figured that out, the fix was pretty quick and easy but this is more finicky than other consumer-level compressors.

> 3 dayReplaced a same-size/psi compressor that cost half as much but was so much louder I could stand to use it with my garage door closed (or without hearing protection). This one is sooo quiet that you really can stand right next to it and have a conversation at normal speaking volume. SAVE YOUR EARS!

> 3 daySo far I do love it. Compared to what Ive had in the past its unbelievably quiet. Im a retired finish carpenter of over 45 years and still like to build and repair things and so far its fine. It works with all my finish guns but Im not doing production work so it might not keep up for that. I tried it with an air chisel and it works fine as well but I have to let it catch up. I love that it has an aluminum tank so no more rusty water to drain. And its on wheels so I dont have to lift it all the time. Really just what I wanted.

> 3 dayI purposely purchased this air compressor because a) its super quiet, and b) because I stupidly thought it was made in California. No where on the Amazon listing or on the California Air Tools site did I ever notice that its actually made and imported from China, and sold through California Air Tools. I only noticed AFTER purchasing it from Amazon and having it sit in my garage until I was able to test it (it says Made in China on the box). Super frustrating if you, like me, are trying to buy American made goods. The compressor itself was in decent shape, is very quiet (as compressors go), and is fairly easy to move with the wheels. Take care not to remove the air hose while the tank is full without hearing protection because I almost blew an eardrum it was so loud. Same with the release valve on the bottom, you can work it half way until its drained to avoid the sudden escape loudness. Fairly good compressor overall but Im super disappointed that they werent forthright with the country of origin.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this compressor! Compared to my old pancake compressor this one is virtually silent! It comes up to pressure very quickly and is ready to use in about a minute. I don’t move it around much but it is very maneuverable.

> 3 daySmall air tools and cleaning items; tire pump, I hear a click when pulling the switch, suddenly will not turn on compressor motor

> 3 dayYou just wont believe how quiet this compressor is or how fast it builds up pressure. I have it maintaining a 50 gallon pressure tank at 100 psi and aerating a small fish pond and it hardly ever runs. I highly recommend this compressor.
