California Air Tools 8010A Aluminum Tank Air Compressor | Ultra Quiet, Oil-Free, 1.0 hp, 8 gal

> 3 daySo quiet when its running (we can use it in the house and have a conversation at the same time). Seems efficient in terms of consistent cycle during use. Our lesson is you *must* drain tank when youre done for the day. We left it pressurized and after one day the check valve spring was compressed and it wouldnt start. Once we figured that out, the fix was pretty quick and easy but this is more finicky than other consumer-level compressors.

> 3 dayThis compressor is so quiet that it could be a medical unit. It takes as long to reach pressure as my old ten gallon, which seems weird because its so small. This isnt a complaint... I love it. I will put a different handle on it, tho. Maybe taller wheels, too.

> 3 dayVery quiet compressor. Had to modify the bump stop in the front. Has two wheels in the back and one floor mount in front. Compressor is top heavy, I had to make a bracket for the front to keep it from tipping over.

Greater than one weekThis compressor is even quieter than I expected. Such an improvement over my old oil-filled compressor that gave a jet engine a run for its money. I haven’t sprayed finish with it yet so will have to see how that goes. So far, great value for the price.

> 3 dayLight, easy to move, above all else quiet. My old ones would rattle your brain they were so loud. I fired this up in my living room and could talk to my wife while it was running. Amazing! Only downside is I think it needs to be more stable. I think I can easily fix that by bolting on a long bar to be wider base.

Greater than one weekThis is the perfect air compressor for any hobbyist that is thinking of purchasing. I purchased this compressor to use with my Iwata eclipse airbrush and I couldnt be happier. This gives me plenty of air with the 8gal tank and its easy to adjust the air psi that flows through my airbrush. I highly recommend the aluminum tank over the steel version as it will last you a very long time with the proper care of course.

04-06-2025I can be on the phone next to this thing and you hardly even know its running. I would definitely spring for the aluminum one because its so light! makes moving it from workplace to workplace a breeze.

> 3 dayI purchased the aluminum version. It is light, well built and so quite. I can have a phone conversation right next to it while it is running. I love it. Worth every penny.
