> 24 hourI am new to RVing and did not know about the anode rod until searching through accessories. When I pulled this out of our purchased a used 4 year old RV, I was amazed at how bad of shape the old one was. I understand these should be replaced yearly. I will order another one.

> 24 hourGreat - fit my 6 gallon heater just fine. I removed it later to drain the tank and it is definitely doing it’s job.

> 24 hourHard to say much about an anode, heck, it is an anode. This fits and is the recommended model for my SW10DE. I must be lucky with water sources and I can go as long as 4 years with only about a 50% deterioration rate. When they do get to about 50% I replace the anode. I keep two spares as you never know when you or a buddy or neighbor will need one. There is no O-ring for these. I use sealant paste or tape, depends on what I have in the tool box that is easy to get to. Just make sure you check your thread diameter. Suburban heaters are 3/4 and the Atwoods tend to be 1/2.

> 24 hourOurs was replaced six months prior to us picking up the fifth wheel we have now. Supposedly it was, upon pulling out the rod half was gone - If in doubt just replace!

> 24 hourI was a little concerned that this product was a good 3/4 to 1 inch longer than the one I took out of my water heater. I put this one in and had no issues. It tightened up and sealed with no problems have used it for several hours and so far no issues. Its a pretty simple product so I expect this to last the long haul and work for the next few seasons.

> 24 hourNo one knows you have to replace these twice a year in a RV or trailer but super important! So easy to change it yourself. Order one before you need it!

> 24 hourIve only had my TT for 6 months. Spent a total of 14 nights in it. I pulled out the factory magnesium anode and it was almost corroded halfway through near the threads and was so full of holes probably a third of the total mass was gone. That says nothing about this product I know. Im just saying check your anode! My understanding is that aluminum is better. I can tell you the threads on this product were clean and well formed and I feel good about getting good long life out of it.
