01-12-2024This product does what it says it does, protects your water heater from corrosion be attracting contaminants to the tank. Just because your tank is glass lined which many are now, it doesnt mean your tank will not rust through. Is it not better to pay $17 each year or so instead of $400+ for a water heater?

> 3 dayDidnt thread in hole very far! Maybe two or three threads in! Should be farther for a pipe thread! Worked but would of rather seen more thread engagement!

> 3 dayGreat fit for the RV Atwood heater. Only thing I did not like is the instructions state to only use a small amount of torque to tighten on, so I used my torque wrench and at the recommended level (with Teflon tape) I had a drip. I had to really snug it down to stop the drip. Other than that, works just fine.

> 3 dayI am new to RVing and did not know about the anode rod until searching through accessories. When I pulled this out of our purchased a used 4 year old RV, I was amazed at how bad of shape the old one was. I understand these should be replaced yearly. I will order another one.

> 3 dayPerfect replacement for my steel tank suburban water heater. If you have an aluminium tank youll want the zinc anode.

Greater than one weekThis is the best price! I use it to add life to my water heater, hard water eats the rod, not the inside of your water heater

Greater than one weekI used this sacrificial anode to stop a corrosion problem in a Cor-Ten steel water sculpture. It works! Before installing it, the water turned orange with oxide in three days, and I had to drain the pool. Now, the water has stayed clear for two months with no chemicals. I also painted the pond with RustBullet anticorrosion paint, but there are still substantial exposed steel parts. I can tell the anode is working because it is slowly developing pits.
