> 3 dayUsed this in my 2005 Fleetwood Highlander Niagra and so far everything seems to be working as expected. Seemed to be well made and should do the job without issue.

10-06-2025Used this to replace my Suburban SW6P ,Manual, 6 gallon, hot water heater Anode Rod. This Camco 11563 was a direct replacement on my SpringDale Mini 1750RD Camper, 3/4 Thread , 9 1/2 long with a 5/8 Diameter using a 1 1/16 Socket If it had the quick drain valve like the Camco 11533 + it was 9 1/2 long to ensure the whole tank is protected it would have been perfect

Greater than one weekJust what the doctor (plumber) ordered. Good stuff at a great price. My last one was still useable but wow was it taking a beating. This one is on standby for a little while. If you dont have one in your tank youll be sorry. It takes the abuse so your tank doesnt.

> 3 dayI replace these about every two years or about 60 days of camping. If you use your RV more thanyou may want to replace it more often. This one is for a 6 gal tank and we have a 10 gal tank. We did buy one last year for the 10 but it would not fit.

> 3 dayIve only had my TT for 6 months. Spent a total of 14 nights in it. I pulled out the factory magnesium anode and it was almost corroded halfway through near the threads and was so full of holes probably a third of the total mass was gone. That says nothing about this product I know. Im just saying check your anode! My understanding is that aluminum is better. I can tell you the threads on this product were clean and well formed and I feel good about getting good long life out of it.

> 3 dayI have an Atwood 6 gal LP hot water heater. The tank is aluminum and originally Atwood only installed a drain tap rather than an anode. As an industrial maintenance tech I thought installing an anode would be an good measure to increase the life of the hot water heater tank. The anode is doing the job well. The sacrificial metal is doing what is should do. As I drained the hot water tank for winterization Nov 2018, I got a first hand look at the condition of the rod that was installed Feb, 2018. Its doing what it is designed to do, sacrifice itself to protect the tank.

> 3 dayThe tank of an atwood is aluminum. All atwood water heaters have aluminum tank. For that reason, you do not need an anode rod. Anode rods are used in the SUBURBAN brand water heaters. I feel like has misleading advertisement! Do NOT change the plastic plug out for this, because you can very easily strip the threads where it is metal on metal.
