10-06-2025okay i admit it. im in love with a water hose. i love the fact that every aspect of this hose is well thought out & intentional -- not someones afterthought or soul-less effort to add more confusion to the marketplace. this beautiful camco water hose is drinking water safe, the machined fittings do not wear or leak or leach lead into the water, its both light weight & strong, theres no residual plastic taste to the water, it doesnt kink after you lay it straight in the sun, the larger 5/8 diameter allows greater water volume, its inexpensive, and it comes in a beautiful royal blue. whats not to love? i mean, its like the perfect man -- uhm, except its a water hose.

> 3 dayNo issues out of box. No kinks. I have been on several outings now and the only mistake I have made was purchasing the 25 foot instead of the 50 foot hose. I just ordered the second hose.

Greater than one weekWorks but it is stiff and the memory of rolled up coil is hard to extend. Would recommend one of those expandable hoses over this.

> 3 dayI used this hose to build my winter-camping (cold weather) freshwater supply hose. I followed the RVGEEKS video on how to use heat tape to keep your water supply from freezing up (also see my review of M-D Building Products 64444 30-Foot Pipe Heating Cable for some slight diversions from the RVGEEKS video). The cost of building my own winter hose includes the cost of this Camco hose, the heat tape, foil tape, plus good quality pipe insulation is probably on par with buying an already-built heated hose from Amazon or Camping World. Why did I do it? Because I have read too many bad reviews about the off-the-shelf heated hoses. Many people claim they didnt work and that the valves in the hoses popped off. So Im trying my own build. I saved a little money, and I enjoy these projects anyway. Hopefully my setup will prevent water freeze-ups for the rare times when Im camping in sub-freezing weather.

> 3 daySupposed to be a drinking water safe hose, but the city water had a terrible chemical odor and taste within 3-4 weeks in the Calif sun if the water has been in the hose for even an hour or so. And thats even with a brand new CAMCO water filter following the hose!! In order to get rid of the taste/odor, had to run the water for several minutes. In my opinion, if you can smell and taste chemicals, I dont believe its safe to drink that water! In the last several years that Ive been using various brands of drinking water hoses, most will last at least 6-12 months before leaving bad chem smell/taste. This one didnt last 4 weeks! Very dissatisfied and returned.

> 3 dayJust started using this hose and it is working well. Too early to talk about durability but so far so good!

> 3 dayPerfect length for my needs, but the connection between the hose and the faucet drips even when the hose is running freely and theres no built up pressure. (Whereas usually with my old hose it only drips when the spray head is off but the water is on so there is pressure in the hose) It not a big deal because its just a slow drip, but still.

> 3 dayWe bought this because the hose we had previously added an awful taste to the water in our RV. This hose works great. Was easy to install, leaves no taste in our water and is a very reasonable price.

> 3 dayUnfortunately due to the packaging I didn’t notice this had two female ends until we were at our campsite, making me have to drive back into town to buy a cheaply made but expensive one from farm supply store. Make sure you check yours before getting on the road.
