Great paper to play around with and if you don’t do a lot of wet on wet washes. You can’t scrub a lot or you risk the paper breaking down. But if you let it dry and keep layering I’ve had hardly any issue with it. This is a great way to have fun and enjoy yourself without going broke.

I purchased this because I saw decent reviews for using as a watercolor sketch book. The paper does not handle the water well in my opinion and seeped through the backside, making only one side useable. Also, the paper is too smooth for watercolor so it spreads and just “sits”’on the page, creating odd shapes and patterns as it dries. I think this would be better suited for pencil sketching.

Takes paint beautifully. I was thinking the cover cover would have another function for some reason. Ive used it for glitter and regular acrylic. Trying my first watercolor tonorrow.

This paper is always a good pick and at this price point its a great deal too. I like this paper for its durability as it stands up to all my watercoloring including washes. I also like the easy way it just pulls right out of the pad without any tears or funny ripples. The slight texture is just enough to pull against my brush leaving tiny details without making too deep of ridges and rivets along my strokes. Affordable and dependable!

This isnt the best watercolor paper by far - it doesnt hold enough water, it isnt very thick, and it is difficult to lift colors off of the paper, but it is extremely inexpensive. Out of all the budget watercolor papers out there, this one is my favorite. This is true for its quality (those negative things I said earlier are true for any budget watercolor paper) and because it is also SO much less expensive than other budget watercolor papers. The only issue is that you need to learn how to use the paper and develop techniques to make it work for you, which can take some time, but this is true for any paper. In my opinion, this is the best budget watercolor paper out there.

I love Canson 300 g watercolor paper! It is very forgiving and will take a lot of abuse, takes the paint very well and brings out the best in your art. I highly recommend it for all level artists.

This is my first pad for my new hobby and I am very pleased with it. I didnt want to invest in the expensive stuff in case I never get good enough, hahaha, but at this price, I can practice what I am learning. I have no idea as to what makes a paper great, but this is perfect for me as a beginner.

This is my go to, general, watercolor paper. I Practice on it. make watercolor books out of it. Make greeting cards. Full art work. Cut it up and put it in my travel kit. It’s really really good paper for the price. Get the huge pad and cut it in 1/2s or 1/4s
