I have a lot of colored pencils but these are the best. Color goes on buttery smooth, the colors are gorgeous!! Worth the money.

These blend so well. I use them in mixed media pieces with watercolor. Theyre so pigmented, and you dont have to press hard to get good color. I cant wait to practice more with these. Theyre such a pleasure to use.

For the price I was a bit hesitant to purchase these pencils but I had heard a lot of good things and read reviews stating how excellent they were that I finally decided to go for it. Presentation wise the packaging is a bit lacking being that its cardboard but they are well protected by a foamy padded material (it would have also been nice if you could slide the trays out somehow instead of lifting each layer out). The pencils themselves are gorgeous and you can really see the craftsmanship put into each of them. Performance is where these really shine however, they have almost a smooth pastel like feel that allows them to blend and layer like a dream. I read that these are wax based pencils so there is a tiny bit of bloom when layering but it’s not really noticeable. I was also able to sharpen each pencil to a fine point point without any breakage which really surprised me. The price is a bit steep but these pencils are as good as advertised, I’d recommend buying a few of these as they’re sold open stock and try them out if you’re on the fence.

By far the best color pencil that a professional artist can use. They are worth every penny. Smooth and so easy to blend.

Paid way too much money for these color pencils, not worth even half of what I spent. Led breaks every time I sharpen this is bs

OMG GAME CHANGER!!! Using these are like coloring with with a wonderfully soft and highly pigmented eyeliner! =D Your colorings turn out like a page ripped from a magazine! And permanent so no smudging like with my prismacolors (which are now growing dust in the closet) Do yourself a favor and factor this set into your budget!!! <3

I am a cartoonist. Having a light fast product to make my greeting cards is very important. I love the way these pencils are so blendable.

Where to start! I have been on a cloud since these arrived! Speaking of...I ordered mine through the UK Global store and at the time paid 20USD less. At first the expected delivery date was two weeks out but they were sent DHL express mail and arrived in 4 days to Colorado from the UK!!! I was more than pleased!! The packaging on the Luminance is exquisite so no damage at all. They arrived in perfect condition including the box. They are exactly and more what I hoped for. It took me awhile to convince my husband I needed these and so thrilled I did! They lay down like butter..just glide on paper and so vibrant! I work with adult coloring books and the Luminance have really upped my game! I also own Primacolor Premiers and Faber Castell Polychromes and both are amazing to work with but the Luminance are a dream! I would highly recommend these!!!! Over the MOON!!

Lei bastante antes de comprarlos ya que es una gran inversion y estaba indeciso por cual elegir si los Liminance o Ligthfast de Derwent y al final de cuentas adquiri los dos sets completos,, las caracteristicas son muy similares, ambas marcas son estupendas y su calidad es fantastica auunque tener los mejores lapices del mercado no implica que todo lo que con ellos se elabore saldra bien, se necesita practicar y depende de la persona que los utilice, este set contiene muchos tonos para piel, es un set elaborado basicamente para retractistas se pudiese decir, los tonos son muy bonitos y cubren perfectamente el papel aunque el color blanco no me gusta en lo personal ya que algunos dicen que es enrealidad blanco pero cuesta demaciado trabajo que el color sobre salga por encima de otro. Las capas se manejan muy bien mientras no apliques el blender ya que si lo aplicas antes de agregar otra capa, esta ultima ya no queda muy bien marcada y comienta a retirar el color o al menos eso me paso a mi aunque estaba haciendo muchas pruebas pero en realidad creo que si necesitas colores muy buenos y duraderos y el precio no es problema te recomiiendo ambas marcas tanto el set de Caran Dache y el set de Derwent con ambos podras hacer maravillas..

Best coloring pencils ever - wish they made more colors!!! They blend well with other pencils. But, dont forget they are PERMANENT and they are permanent. Very little room for error.
