> 3 dayOMG GAME CHANGER!!! Using these are like coloring with with a wonderfully soft and highly pigmented eyeliner! =D Your colorings turn out like a page ripped from a magazine! And permanent so no smudging like with my prismacolors (which are now growing dust in the closet) Do yourself a favor and factor this set into your budget!!! <3

11-06-2025Love Love these pencils! I take off a star because of price. They are the best! Just wish they didn’t cost so much!! I travel an hour to a Blick store to purchase individual pencils, or wait to order enough to get free shipping. It would be nice to get them here individually for a decent price. This price on Amazon for the kit is the best I could find. So thank you Amazon!

Greater than one weekThe shipent was quick, the package was undamaged and well protected and the pencils were in one piece and work exxeptionally well. At first I was skeptical of the seller(AreaTrend) but they did not disappoint and hope to but from them again in the near future!

> 3 dayAlthough oils, acrylics and pen and ink are my weapons of choice, I have also used color pencils since the 1960s, and finally decided to take the plunge and blow my budget on Luminance. (Ive been experimenting with many brands since my retirement.) I must agree that they are right at the top of the wax-based crowd. Its funny, but the first thing I thought of when I tested them was that they reminded me of the Prismacolors I had 50 years ago. Prismas were relatively expensive in those days, too. I had wondered where those excellent pencils had gone, and now I know. They moved to Switzerland and changed their name. The Luminance is not a tool for coloring books at this price but they do live up to the hype. Its just too bad Prismacolor was sold to a company that regards them as a sideline, or they could still be up there too.

> 3 dayExpensive yes. But if you’re serious about coloring/being a colorist, you have to have these. They’re amazing. sturdy, tips don’t break off, vibrant, smooth, blendable and layerable. Buy them!

Greater than one weekThese lay down with a smooth texture and rich color. I like to layer them over harder pencils (Faber Castell and CD Pablo), just my preferred technique. There’s nothing you can’t do with them. The only drawback is they are very soft, you’ll want one if the harder leads for exceptionally tight detail.
