> 3 dayI love the idea of this type of jumper. It is thin so you can smash it in the window and it will still work. The idea being that you dont need to drill holes in your house to run an antenna cable in. I use this for connecting a HAM radio in to my basement office. Im not a big fan of drilling holes in my house to get cables installed and connected, which is why I installed conduit in the walls of my house for everything that I could consider at the time the house was built. I obviously didnt consider getting in to HAM radio, so I didnt put any conduit to that side of the house. This jumper allowed me to get an antenna cable in to the house without needing to drill a hole. It has been installed in the window now for a couple of months, during fairly cold weather. I have not noticed and leakage from the window where it is installed. One thing that I have not yet tried is to put the screen back in place. I am not sure if the screen will have enough force to push the cable out of the way, or if it will just bend the screen. But, I will probably find out when it gets a little warmer. Overall, I am happy with this jumper, but I deducted one star because these jumpers seems insanely expensive for what they are.

> 3 dayWorks great! Minimal signal loss if any depending on frequency you are using to transmit on.

> 3 dayMy second one. It works great. No problem making the connection to my other coax through a window and a storm window! Sturdy and great quality. Way better than the plastic window pass thrus I have that created horrible cold drafts in winter and a cheaper solution!

> 3 dayThese guys are PERFECT for those windows that open in non standard ways. I detected no signal loss with my MFJ Antenna analyzer and purchased a pair of them to bring in signals from my dual band VHF/UHF Diamond X200 and my MFJ vertical 8 band antenna. These guys are well made and durable as every Comet product I have ever purchased. These would work well for people who have to run an antenna through a condo door or even a RV window. Mine are secured into the window sill and cant move. Another plus is you can easily disconnect your antenna from the outside during lightning storms.

> 3 dayAt best, this is a stop-gap device. Though I have a good experience with it across the VHF amateur band (1.2:1 SWR) I have issues with it on 70cm. The SWR at the low end of this band is ok but it rises sharply towards the top end to over 1.7:1. The stated insertion loss seems pretty accurate and it too rises shaarply on 70cm. My suspicion is that it was designed for primary use in Hf up through VHF but the manufacturer pushed its use on UHF to maximize sales. Unfortunately there arent many alternatives around (MFJ if your window has an opening up to 48). Otherwise the tape is quite flimsy and will, no doubt, turn brittle in UV light. At best, for my use, I can only rate it 3 stars...and thats pushing it.

20-11-2024If you follow the directions and treat it like a cable you just spent > $50 on, youll be fine. Being a Chinese copy of the Diamond part doesnt seem to make a difference quality-wise but I only bought one.
