Works as intended with little or no increase to SWR. I added some all-weather electrical tape to both sides of the flat strap to give it increased protection from the tight fit.

If you cant go to the next level of having coax through walls to elevate your antenna, then this is the trick. Been using it about a month and really vastly improved transmit and receive on my Baofeng hand-held. Using now on my Kenwood TM-D710G and find it does well.

I got my ham license (WB8ERT) on April 30, 2021 and as a renter (apartment) contacted the landlord about putting up an antenna. I promised to restore any and all modification, but the answer was no. This connector allows me to keep outdoors (on my air conditioner) my antenna (Nagoya UT-72 Super Loading Coil 19-Inch Magnetic Mount (Heavy Duty) VHF/UHF (144/430Mhz) Antenna PL-259), which I also purchased here on Amazon.com. Please note I rated this antenna a 5 star in my Amazon.com review. My radio is an handheld unit (AnyTone AT-D878UVII Plus). The connection from the radio uses all Amazon.com purchased wiring. I can highly recommend this connector to those whose landlords dont want any modification even with a promise to restore to original condition.

We have double hung wood windows. I did not want a panel in the window frame nor do I want to drill holes through our incredibly expensive siding. I know this is a tradeoff but one I have to make. I got two of these as I hope to try out at least two different antennas. I like that they are long enough to also fit under the outside window screen.

Works great! Minimal signal loss if any depending on frequency you are using to transmit on.

Meets all expectations

These guys are PERFECT for those windows that open in non standard ways. I detected no signal loss with my MFJ Antenna analyzer and purchased a pair of them to bring in signals from my dual band VHF/UHF Diamond X200 and my MFJ vertical 8 band antenna. These guys are well made and durable as every Comet product I have ever purchased. These would work well for people who have to run an antenna through a condo door or even a RV window. Mine are secured into the window sill and cant move. Another plus is you can easily disconnect your antenna from the outside during lightning storms.
