Bought this for my sister, after reading the previous reviews I knew I had to get it. My nephew is diagnosed with Prader Willi Syndrome we’ve tried dozens upon dozens of locks and none of them where able to keep him out. It’s been about a month since I bought these and he has not been able to get into the fridge. The locks are still holding up. He’s pulled and tugged and it will not budge. I’m absolutely thankful for these locks.

Had the cheep little diary key locks and the kids picked them in no time. These are actual padlocks and I can replace them if I need to. Awesome

I’m actually using these as a way to keep my small DIY enclosed trailer door closed. I’ve had things slide and put some weight on them and not had any issue. My only worry is if the adhesive is really good enough for lasting through the AZ heat of summer. Just to be safe I drilled two holes in each and secured by screw. Can’t say how much weight or pressure they hold but it’s pretty good. While not the intended use I think it shows that they wouild be totally solid used as intended. The weakest link is likely the locks themselves but if used on a fridge are more than sufficient.

I bought this after putting a chest freezer in my carport. I know it won’t keep someone out that has even mediocre bolt cutters but figured it would be a good deterrent. i figured it would be a good deterrent for any animals too. I wasn’t sure how well it would stick but I was shocked. I actually tried very hard to pull it off and it’s impossible without using tools. For the price this is exactly what I needed.

I have tried about 6 different fridge child locks that my kids have figured out how to open or break. Finally, I got tired of bringing home fruits and yogurts just to have the entire carton devoured in one afternoon by my 3, 4, and 7 year old. They are like little ninjas: super sneaky and stealthy. They just grab and go before I know it. This lock is great! As soon as it arrived I slapped it on the fridge- super quick no measuring, no reading directions, and after a month it is still holding strong. The first two days the kids tried to yank open the door repeatedly in hopes it would snap like other locks we purchased with no luck. The two pieces allow for some bending and the lock comes with two keys. Not only has this allowed me to trim about $200 off my monthly grocery bill it actually makes my husband and I think twice before reaching for a snack! Often I have found myself thinking I have to unlock this thing? (Sigh) Ill just have some water Edit: for anyone wondering about durability we recently upgraded to a new fridge and this bad boy was still stuck tight after almost 4 years. It is now living in the land of forgotten appliances along with the fridge as we probably would have had to crowbar it off if!

As another customer mentions I too have an autistic son. Hes picky about food and drink but anything we have that he does like he binges and has no full limit. He will continue eating and drinking until its gone. (Not to mention no one in the house gets anything including his brother) Ive always compared it to having bulimia with out vomitting. Thats seriously what its like. All these years Ive been told to get one; originally I had the child proof locks but my son is presently 12. I was always more concerned about the fact we live in a rental but now he eats and drinks more and follows directions less. We keep everything from snacks to milk locked outside of house. He also likes to get up, go in the kitchen and open and close the fridge in the middle of the night as entertainment and form of stimulation to stay up (light inside of fridge). I finally decided to buy one because I am convinced the fridge will have to be replaced before we move out anyways. That lock isnt going anywhere...keep hearing kids yanking and pulling at it in hopes maybe THIS time it will open and then giving up. In turn our autistic son is giving up trying to use as entertainment and going to sleep because I have taken the fun out of it. UPDATE: After being fed up for a month by not getting his way our son decided to grab a steak knife and popped it off with ease. Enjoying the fact we were actually able to put food in the refrigerator we urgently wanted to fix the problem. We bought another one from a different seller/brand. After installing 2nd I heard him in the kitchen and chased him away. A knife was wedged behind it, I caught him in the act. I decided the fridge is onle $300 and dumped a gallon of super glue in crevices and around edges. Its 1 am and he went back to try again. Because he couldnt he popped the other side off. I just super glued it too to fridge and am sitting here guarding it as it dries. Hopefully at least make it through the night and will generously add more. It would work great if person/people see it and respect it or only tugs a few times. Someone whos disrespectful and doesnt care will still get in if they really want to.

we tried many times to set a code or just close the lock while on the factory set numbers and nothing worked.. so the padlock is useless and we already put the adhesive parts on the fridge. i’ve bought this in the past and i know it works better than any other stick on fridge locks i’ve purchased, so i’m disappointed in the combination lock.
