> 3 dayI use this on a fridge at work that myself and a couple of colleagues purchased to keep people with sticky fingers out of. We didnt want to drill holes into a brand new fridge, so we opted for these little locks instead. I installed them since Im the handy man (I guess lol) around there and followed the instructions to the T. So far, so good. They hold up well and seem to require a LOT of force to get them off of the doors once applied and cured. However, they are not 100% fool proof and I imagine someone with a razor blade can easily cut their way in if they wanted to by slicing away at the little pads that adhere to the fridge itself.

> 3 dayI really like these latches! I have a beautiful freezer in my garage. The bottom portion is the freezer and the top portion can be used as additional freezer or turned down to use as a spare refrigerator when needed. I have rented out a room in my house and given the top of the freezer set as a refrigerator to my tenant. He loves that he gets the whole thing to himself, especially after his last place where he was given a 10- inch square portion of shelf. Unfortunately, he has a bad habit of opening my freezer portion (he uses the freezer inside the house so has nothing in this freezer) and not pushing it shut all the way. Twice, I have discovered it left open and had to throw away all of the freezer contents! I was not happy. A friend mentioned locking the bottom portion with an outside lock and I cant believe this didnt occur to me. I was a little concerned that it would not adhere to the front door of the freezer because it is textured with a diamond plate design, so it is not completely flat. It worked perfectly and I now keep it locked all the time. I love that my tenant cannot accidentally open it now. He wouldnt steal from me, but he is extremely absent minded and I do not want to go through another hassle of replacing everything again.

18-04-2025We bought these to lock up our liquor cabinet. They seem to work fine. Our liquor cabinet is just the cabinets above the microwave in our kitchen - so we used these on kitchen cabinets. They allow the cabinet doors to open a few inches, but not enough for a teenager to pull a bottle of alcohol out. The reason I didnt give them 5 stars, is that there is no way to permanenly install them. It would be nice if they had a few screw holes in the event that you wanted to do more than just STICK them to something. I cant imagine how well these would stick to a fridge or something. I just cant envision the adhesive to last or be that good. Theyre alright and will work for now, but I wish someone would create a cabinet lock that didnt look super toddler-ish or glaringly lock-ish. Our home is very modern with no knick-knacks, so we needed a more streamlined cabinet lock than the typical white toddler cabinet lock, etc. I purchased an antique lock to go with it, and it kind of coolified the lock situation!

> 3 dayI have a child with autism and he was always getting in fridge and taking everything out. I decided to install this lock on my refrigerator and so happy that I did. it works great. It keeps him out of the fridge. It is easy to install and it is very sturdy. It lasts for as long as you have the fridge,. This is actually my second lock because I purchased a new refrigerator. I am using a master combination lock instead of the lock that was included because my family kept misplacing the key. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekGreat lock as long as you install correctly. Do not put padlock on until after 24 hours of installation. In addition, use alcohol to clean the surface of the fridge before you stick this on.

> 3 dayWe purchased to lock a freezer. Worked perfectly. We already had a lock so we did not purchase with lock. Adhesive sticks, I mean, you better be sure you place it where you want it, once it cures (24 hrs) there is no relocating it. I have purchased this several times for different fridges and freezers. Definitely recommend.

> 3 dayAfter my toddler learned how to open the baby-proof refrigerator latch and was tall enough to do it without assistance, we were in trouble. He is very tall for his age, and as the third boy, is at least as stubborn as two young boys. He couldnt be trusted alone in the kitchen, and even if an adult was watching him, he would open the door and mayem would ensue. Perhaps I could have adjusted my thinking and decided that I LIKED having half a dozen eggs broken on my kitchen floor (or in other parts of the house), I could have joined in (Im sure that is a very satisfying crack, after all, and feeling the cool gooiness between my fingers...mmm), or I could have decided I just didnt CARE if he ate five cheese sticks at once, or turned the temperature up on the fridge and spoiled food, or climbed up in the shelves to flick the light on and off... But I hated the food waste, the clean-up, trying to reason with a toddler, and knowing that he WAS climbing inside the fridge creating a tipping hazard, I grew tired of washing dishes with one foot bracing the door shut. This is not a request for parenting advice. This is a lock review. I went ahead and ordered this thinking it was pretty funny that I was desperate enough to buy a padlock for my refrigerator. However, in many ways it has been a lifesaver. It is 100% toddler proof. IF someone remembers to lock the fridge, my toddler cannot open it. If hes tired and in a temper he can pull hard enough on the door to knock things off the top of the fridge (so far no tipping!), but he cant break the lock. My older boys know where we keep the key and have, once or twice, climbed up and gotten it to help themselves to something we told them they couldnt have, but it has cut down on unauthorized snacking, or meal spoiling. (I have a red-headed five-year-old--hes stubborn.) I snack less. As long as I try to keep pantry snacks reasonably healthy, it is often easier to grab an apple from the fruit basket than to rummage in the fridge and overeat. Well see if this leads to long-term weight loss or not now that Ive had the newest baby. The biggest drawback weve had is that were too lazy to separate the keys and pick a safer place for the extra one. This means that Ive almost dropped the key down the heat vent and once both keys went home in our babysitters pocket. She noticed and brought them back before I tried to get into the fridge. This is the only child-resistant item Ive purchased that has withstood all three of my older boys and weather such regular and frequent use. Im sure once they hit the teen years and eat even more than they do now (which is hard to imagine) I will be even happier with this. Now, to get a really annoying keychain reminding us to eat healthy...
