I remember reading the reviews for this lock because I was skeptical about its strength and durability. Like myself most who purchased it had a child with special needs and I could totally relate to their issues. That gave me enough comfort to buy it snd I was not disappointed. I ended up buying another one for the deep freezer later. I had mine for over 2 years and never had a problem with it. In fact, when I moved I could not get the thing off my landlords fridge lol. It bonds very well. You would think it was bolted on the fridge. I highly recommend this refrigerator lock.

I bought this a few years ago to keep my autistic son out of the fridge. Its still holding strong but we just bought a stand alone freezer and now I need another, its sitting in my cart until I can buy it on payday. Im still a little worried about how Im getting it off our rental fridge, but Ill figure that out when its time to move. I hope some prying and goo gone will work, if it doesnt they can charge me for it as this has easily saved the cost of the extra charge, or they can keep it on there and let the next family have it. Follow the directions! Clean surface with alcohol, apply adhesive pad by itself and apply pressure for a good minute on each pad before adding arms and lock. Update more than a year after my second purchase: my son is now 15 and this has held strong for 4 years now. I put the second one on backwards and it still works though the bar doesnt stay in place as well when going opening and closing my freezer, but that is my error and not a product problem. Like I said before, follow the directions and itll work fine.

Overall, these are good. Easy to apply if you follow the included instructions. They keep the fridge and freezers on our food truck shut while we drive, which was why we purchased. The price point of these is better than many very similar ones out there. My only complaint is that these include a very cheap lock. It works...for now...but they feel cheap and like they could break at any time. Thankfully, better locks arent too expensive whenever I have to replace them. The other pieces of this contraption seem to be sturdy for the long haul though.

Does it’s job! Just make sure u read directions and follow! I placed my unit a little off and my refrigerator door opens a little and can be left open about a inch. If u read and install properly it will keep the door completely closed. But I do recommend item for a refrigerator or any unit u don’t want someone u live or work with in.

I put one on my outdoor fridge in my RV cause I had a fear of someone getting in there when we were away. Ended up putting one on my rv storage container and absolutely love it.

Our daughter asked for a mini-fridge for her birthday to put in her room. From day one her brothers began raiding her fridge. Theyre big mad now. It worked so well I put one on my mini-fridge in the garage and locked all of them out! Muahahaha Can it be defeated? Yes...its just 3M tape after all. Its best used in a place where it will keep honest people honest or your list of potential suspects is very small.

I adopted a 72-lb. pitbull that surprised me by opening the fridge and eating a pound of homemade marina sauce and a block of parmesan cheese. I bought one of these locks and used a carabiner clip to secure it. I can tell he was messing with it and trying to pull it loose. Hes STRONG and hasnt been able to open it. Then he figured out if he hopped on the counter, he could open the freezer. Got the frozen pesto and chocolate ganache. So I bought another one for the freezer. Any lock with plastic or velcro pieces would have been chewed up in minutes, but these have been holding strong for four months. UPDATE: I bought a new fridge and need to put the locks on it. I contacted the company asking if I could buy just the bases since the arms can be re-used. They are sending me two sets of the adhesive bases for free. Excellent customer service!

I am the live-in staff at an adult foster care home and the residents are constantly sneaking into my area and stealing my food. I can 100% trust this to keep my possessions safe. It is not going to come off. Ive heard that you need to poor wd-40 on it in order to remove it. Just push as hard as you can when you install it and you will have no issues with it falling off. The only downside is that I dont think I will be able to take it off and reuse it when I move out.
