This product is a must have if trying to secure alcohol from minors... we used these on small refrigerators to keep beer locked up and not accessible they work just as it’s suppised to gives us a secure feeling knowing when our younger kids have friends visiting we know beer isn’t available to them yes educating your kids is the first step but knowing they can not access it gives you peace of mind I would strongly suggest these Too many kids get into trouble and this product is good to keep kids honest

Effective. Installs in about a minute. Works perfectly with these locks on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZOUB5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you have a inconsiderate teen or twenty-something with the brain of a teen that cant be trained not to: a) filch the food and meals intended for your baby (assuming you dont like to drive to the store for milk at 10pm or 6am with a crying baby) or b) decides to start drinking beer after he sees the two bottles of irreplaceable home-made craft Belgian ale given to you as a gift then this is just the thing for you. I installed one on my fridge and freezer in the garage. Seriously considering installing one on the kitchen fridge. After years of fighting this battle, this has done the trick having the items you bought actually there when you want to use them. If you did not buy it, ask before you take since they might be intended for something else other than filling your already fat belly during the middle-of-the- night eating binges. Maybe you dont have an inconsiderate non-beer drinking boob living in your house that likes toddler food and craft beer, you might not need this.

I bought this after putting a chest freezer in my carport. I know it won’t keep someone out that has even mediocre bolt cutters but figured it would be a good deterrent. i figured it would be a good deterrent for any animals too. I wasn’t sure how well it would stick but I was shocked. I actually tried very hard to pull it off and it’s impossible without using tools. For the price this is exactly what I needed.

I got a free fridge my neighbor left in the alley not too long ago and I thought to myself, hey self, you know what you need? Whats that self? A whole bunch of beer, duh! So I headed out and bought a whole fridge worth of beer and stocked that puppy up. Now I dont have all the space in the world at my house, so the fridge has to live outside next to my shed. Well, being the city dwellers that we are, there may or may not be a few ruffians living near our abode. My wife, being the brilliant person she is, told me I better lock that fridge up or Im going to be out a lot of beer! So far, my beer is still there, so Id say this lock is doing its job! Is it 5pm yet??

At first I did not see the lock because it was so tiny. Then I found it. Very easy to install. I have a deep freezer outside that I store rainwater in. My insurance company told me that I had to take the top off. That was not an option. Health hazard, mosquitoes. So I bought and installed this lock. It was acceptable for them. I tried to pull it off because I thought I had installed it wrong. It would not budge whatsoever. Come to find out it was installed properly. I was locking it wrong....lol. Great price too!

I have special needs children. My oldest in particular keeps us busy with finding new ways to secure the house. We dont just child proof the house, we Emmy proof the house. Its an art form. Lately, Emmy has decided she loves to take things out of the cabinets and fridge and dumb them. It doesnt matter what -- salt, spices, flour, gallon of milk, pre-mixed chai tea, bottle of BBQ sauce, bottle of salad dressing, chocolate sauce...Whatever she can get her hands on, its down the sink. A regular safety first child safety lock did the trick on the spice cabinets because her fine motor skills are bad, but we didnt something more secure for the fridge. Like other reviewers, weve tried other fridge locks that just werent strong enough. One swift tug and they were broken. I read the reviews for this product, noted the happy special needs parents, and instantly hit buy. Im happy I did. The adhesive is very strong, it was easy to install, the padlock and keys are a nice secure touch. I specifically wanted a padlock/key option but it would be easy to replace with a small combo lock if you are worried about misplacing the keys. My daughter isnt happy she cant get into the fridge unless were there to supervise, but were happy. I would definitely recommend this product.

So far I loved the first one so much I decided to buy two more I use them on my work cabinet / drawers where I keep my important things.. i was happy until I realized that the key for the lock that comes with the set up opens every single lock from same brands combo. Which means if you get your own lock it’s fine, but if you use the padlock it came with a person can just look up the item on amazon and buy the same one and use the key to open your lock... I would hope u don’t have food bandits that desperate (since this was meant for a fridge ... as for me, I need to buy my own locks because it’s a double measure on my locking cabinets that have laptops and iPads at work ...
