I absolutely LOVE this lock. My 14 yr. old came home and went to open the fridge, and couldnt get in. He said no she didnt I replied with a big smile oh but I did. He is not happy at all, and Im sure hes trying to figure out how he can get in there, but its never gonna happen. That adhesive is so strong, when I was putting it on my fridge, I had a corner barely touching the fridge and it was stuck. If you have kids that eat everything within an our of unpacking the groceries, you need this lock. A 24 pack of yogurt actually lasted 3 days and there is still some left. I accidentally left the lock off when I went to wash clothes and I swear the fridge must have glowed for my kids, they grabbed that yogurt quick! So needless to say the lock will NEVER be left off again. It takes some getting use to, especially when you are cooking and going back and fourth to the fridge. Once that fridge is locked and they know they cant get in, it makes them want in even more, so NEVER EVER EVER forget to put that lock on. If you are reading this review, you are obviously looking for a lock, click purchase, this is the best lock ever, and no matter how hard they try, they cant get in. You wont be sorry.

We purchased to lock a freezer. Worked perfectly. We already had a lock so we did not purchase with lock. Adhesive sticks, I mean, you better be sure you place it where you want it, once it cures (24 hrs) there is no relocating it. I have purchased this several times for different fridges and freezers. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this door lock as a last resort due to my children leaving my deep freeze door open enough to wipe out my entire deep freeze 2 different times now. My deep freeze is an upright and is located in the basement, so it is not typically caught open until it is too late. Unfortunately, my deep freeze did not come with a lock or an alarm on it. While searching for a door alarm on Amazon, I noticed many of them had iffy reviews because they were electronic. This was the best thing I could find that didnt need batteries, anything wireless, or anything that would really fail on this setup. I am very please with the product and the thorough instructions that came with it (even though installing this was a no-brainer). Currently I am using a padlock I had laying around, but will be switching over to a word lock so I do not have to keep up with a key when I just need to grab a frozen pizza for lunch. Installation was easy and took 2 mins, no tools required. I like that the white matches my freezer and the lock does not make it look like I am hiding dead bodies in there. I will probably ordering 1 or 2 more to lock the kids out of my basement fridge and freezer combo as well. Luckily, all of my other appliances have door and temperature alarms on them.

Ive had these in the past 5 years ago and they worked great. They are very strong. I use these to keep my kids out of the fridge and freezer otherwise they sneak food out of the fridge and when I go to use it to make dinner its gone. I have a side by side and it works fine. When I had these in the past I had a top and bottom so I needed two. It was a rental house. So when we moved out I had to pry those suckers off. So if someone tries to take them off its going too be some work. Our fridge is smooth so they stuck well. I also cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol before I put them on. So make sure you clean the area. Use soap and water first wipe dry then do the rubbing alcohol. If you dont clean the area they may not stick well. I got the black because our fridge is black. Before I used white on our white fridge.

This is the most creative way to keep others out of my liquor cabinet. Specifically someone who isnt me when I am not around. Its a shame I had to install this in the first place but for all intended purposes the project is complete for what I have in my budget.

My Mother who sadly suffers with early onset dementia lives with me. She would (for a time) wander at night and I would find food in the bathroom and out on counters in the mornings. I HATED doing it, but had to buy these and they worked. She doesnt do much night time digging in the fridge anymore, so its cool that I can remove the cables. I didnt read the directions, but commonsense says Clean the areas where you will place them. I shouldve read them though, cause I didnt take into account the size of the lock and lined them up wrong, so for awhile there I had to hear the fridge door open enough to shake when the cables pulled together and hit the lock. That was clearly my issue. I would totally buy another one if ever needed to.

I really like these latches! I have a beautiful freezer in my garage. The bottom portion is the freezer and the top portion can be used as additional freezer or turned down to use as a spare refrigerator when needed. I have rented out a room in my house and given the top of the freezer set as a refrigerator to my tenant. He loves that he gets the whole thing to himself, especially after his last place where he was given a 10- inch square portion of shelf. Unfortunately, he has a bad habit of opening my freezer portion (he uses the freezer inside the house so has nothing in this freezer) and not pushing it shut all the way. Twice, I have discovered it left open and had to throw away all of the freezer contents! I was not happy. A friend mentioned locking the bottom portion with an outside lock and I cant believe this didnt occur to me. I was a little concerned that it would not adhere to the front door of the freezer because it is textured with a diamond plate design, so it is not completely flat. It worked perfectly and I now keep it locked all the time. I love that my tenant cannot accidentally open it now. He wouldnt steal from me, but he is extremely absent minded and I do not want to go through another hassle of replacing everything again.

This seems to be a good solution to hindering anybody getting into the mini fridge. It attaches securely with the 3M backing. Really need to be accurate with the location of the 2 tape ends otherwise the locking bars wont line up. I dont think the material holding the locking bars in place is tough enough to keep anybody from using a hack saw to cut through it, but it will slow them down.

I’m actually using these as a way to keep my small DIY enclosed trailer door closed. I’ve had things slide and put some weight on them and not had any issue. My only worry is if the adhesive is really good enough for lasting through the AZ heat of summer. Just to be safe I drilled two holes in each and secured by screw. Can’t say how much weight or pressure they hold but it’s pretty good. While not the intended use I think it shows that they wouild be totally solid used as intended. The weakest link is likely the locks themselves but if used on a fridge are more than sufficient.
