> 3 dayI love the lightweight material the fabric is made of. I havent used it yet but i think Ill use it lots with my dogs (not walking them on the hot concrete of course). Ill update in a couple of months to see how it does during the sun blazing days.

> 3 dayThis was bought for the sunny California beaches, but the wind prevents the umbrella to function properly. Great for a non windy , no beach kind of day . Perfect just for rain umbrella.

> 3 dayI am serious about my sun protection and use a lot of clothing with built-in SPF because I realize that sunscreen often makes me have a rash or just doesn’t work. I bought this to use while in the Bahamas. It is a nice looking umbrella but there are some design flaws that I think could be improved. One, once you open it, it does not fit back in its cover. Two, it needs a longer handle with a different way of holding it rather than just the knob. A curved handle would be more comfortable to use for longer stretches.. The entire handle is just a bit too short. Three, it does flip very easily with not much of a breeze. However, I still like to use it because it does keep me out of the sun. I do recommend it if you are like me and want every option for staying out of the sun but I would like to see some improvements to that design.

> 3 dayI’ve used this umbrella for a total of 60 days of travel in Europe and the Middle East. It has just started to show wear. It is very wind tolerant and offers tremendous protection from the sun’s u.v. rays, but a MAJOR side advantage when in the sun for any length of time, is it is considerably cooler under it! Makes walking around outdoor tourist sites imminently more enjoyable!

> 3 dayI live in Arizona, and have a 20-minute walk into work every morning. I use this umbrella every day and it does its job well. It really does feel cooler when I walk under it -- this can make the walk in to work bearable when its 100+ outside (whereas my regular rain umbrella does not). And more importantly, it seems to be very effective at shielding my skin from the sun. Im fair-skinned and paranoid about cancer, and I feel very protected when I walk under my Coolibar. Two caveats. (1) This umbrella is thick and bulky and harder to fold up than a normal umbrella -- you kind of have to muscle it. It comes in a little sheath and Ive never once been able to get mine back into the sheath. (2) It only lasts so long. My first one lasted about two years of consistent but gentle use before starting to fall apart; I managed to get a third, limping year out of it. Ive just received my second one -- so, it was worth ordering again, but it would be nice if it lasted longer.

> 3 daySmaller than what I thought. Feels light weight at flimsy but works amazingly well at keeping the heat off of you.

> 3 dayYou can really feel the difference under the umbrella during the sunny days. Unlike other umbrellas that can magnify the heat under the cover, with this one you can really feel that there is less heat and the UV protection is great. BUT this is NOT A WIND RESISTANT umbrella. Just a little gust of wind will flip this upside down. However, I bought this for the sun protection it offers so I am happy and bought another one when it went on sale.

03-06-2025The umbrella functions but is a bit bulky. It almost looks home made to tell you the truth. BUT it does keep you cooler watching the baseball, soccar games and running meets, so I do not mind it’s look that much. Some might like the look. Quite industrial looking.

Greater than one weekThe fabric used in the umbrella is perfect, however, the ventilation of the umbrella is practically nonexistent. This umbrella cannot be used in the wind. It turns inside out very easily and is a hassle to use. It’s really only useful on a virtually windless day. You couldn’t use this at the beach at all. I used it on a walk in my hometown (not near the coast) on a spring day with mild winds and it turned inside out several times. I haven’t used it since, so it was a waste of money.
