This umbrella works very, very well. My skin is extremely sensitive to sun, especially on my face. I keep my Coolibar UPF 50+ umbrella in the trunk of my car so that it is always handy when I need to walk in direct sunlight, which is often. One small warning: the umbrella, when folded up, is a bit more bulky (but not heavier) than a regular rain umbrella. For me, that is now a small price to pay for the excellent protection that it provides. When I fold it up, I just toss it into a string bag or a small tote. I highly recommend this product.

Good sun protection. It does feel a little flimsy compared to the other top brand, but its not for busting the wind; its for protection against sun damage. The other brand doesnt consistently produce the 43 umbrella, and that one is only available through one vendor; so this meets that gap. I bought two and use one everyday.

First, the width is great, its slightly bigger than a travel umbrella when open and not as concave as a rain umbrella, its a little flatter. The color is beautiful. The photos dont show it but the underside is the matte silver material that bounces light and heat. When youre walking you think its a nice beautiful day under your umbrella. Youre extremely comfortable. After a few minutes you try to figure out why your legs are hot. Are you walking too much? Are you standing too much and now the blood is rushing downwards? What is wrong with your feet? Its the temperature difference between what is under the umbrella and what is not under the umbrella, its *that different*. It work well...almost too well!

It really is SIGNIFICANTLY cooler under one of these! Great product. If it wasnt so bulky id still be using it. I switched to the EuroSchirm Lite Trek umbrella instead. But my husband absolutely loves his Coolibar.

I am serious about my sun protection and use a lot of clothing with built-in SPF because I realize that sunscreen often makes me have a rash or just doesn’t work. I bought this to use while in the Bahamas. It is a nice looking umbrella but there are some design flaws that I think could be improved. One, once you open it, it does not fit back in its cover. Two, it needs a longer handle with a different way of holding it rather than just the knob. A curved handle would be more comfortable to use for longer stretches.. The entire handle is just a bit too short. Three, it does flip very easily with not much of a breeze. However, I still like to use it because it does keep me out of the sun. I do recommend it if you are like me and want every option for staying out of the sun but I would like to see some improvements to that design.

I live in Texas and use this umbrella every single day. It really keeps the sun off and provides shade while talking my daily walk. I walk about two miles every day and just had too much sun on my head and face. This is instant shade. I love it.

Love this umbrella!!! Well constructed and light weight!! I have lupus and need to avoid the sun as the UVA and UVB rays make me sick... Its just the right size. Not too big and not too small... And now I dont have to wear a hat and have hat hair all the time!!! I put a carabiner clip on my purse to attach the umbrella to when I am not using it so I dont forget it somewhere... That would be an expensive oops!!!

Amazing quality umbrella, however not as Travel friendly as I’d hoped for. ESPECIALLY if you have limited space. It’s also VERY bulky & Heavy. Originally got this item to carry in my side bag when out and about, sad to say this will not be happening. I will only be using it for actual bad weather.. but still great quality!

I decided to spend a little extra to purchase this sun umbrella and I am so glad I did! It is a very high quality umbrella and perfect for everyday use. It does a wonderful job blocking the sun and keeps you much cooler than being directly in the sun. It is a perfect size and weight. And best of all, this little thing holds up mightily against the wind!! When the wind blows under the umbrella, it feels as though you might take flight with the umbrella in your hand, but this baby does not invert!! Now, I have not carried this in hurricane force winds, but I have carried it in normal summer winds...the same kind that would invert my prior umbrella within five seconds! I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who cares about their skin.
