19-11-2024I liked this umbrella for sun protection, but the quality is just not there. I used it for less than three months before the open/close mechanism fell apart and the umbrella went in the trash. With such a short life span, this is definitely overpriced. As others have said, it also does not withstand wind of any kind. Pretty disappointed, but still gave it 3 stars since it does a good job of protecting from sun and heat.

> 3 dayI love my Coolibar umbrella! I could not wait to get it out of the box and immediately use it on my long walk to the market. I started carrying an umbrella/parasol a couple of years ago, in addition to wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat Since then I have seen a few others pick up on this sensible idea. Most of the others were Asian woman. I was so glad to find this Coolibar titanium umbrella that had UV protection in a portable size. Not only is it convenient, it is not too heavy, and looks smart with every possible outfit. I also like the hunter green lining. Reminds me of the traditional dark green porch and beach umbrellas that I remember fondly from my childhood. This umbrella is chic, practical and makes a statement that you are an intelligent self-protective person. I love carrying it. It keeps me cool under a blazing hot southern sun. It stores easily it its own case and fits nicely into a tote bag when indoors.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is a nice size and folds up to a compact size. Perfect for me since I get migraine headaches from bright sunlight and heat.

> 3 dayI love this umbrella. Works great in the rain and creates shade when Im at outdoor events. Im the kind of person who gets unfortunately burned despite a hat and sunblock so this is a must for me while living in sunny southern CA. Others have mentioned concerns about the weight and sturdiness of this umbrella. For me, this lives in my purse and only comes out during periods where Ill be in the sun for extended periods or when it rains. In the 2 months Ive had it it has stood up well so far, though Ive probably only used it on 10 occasions.

> 3 dayIve only used this once so far, so Ill update after I travel with it, but that first use was an amazing improvement over my other parasols. It reflects quite a bit of heat and I like that the dark color on the underside doesnt reflect the reflected light from the concrete back on my face. The real test will be how well it holds up to frequent use. Ill come back in a month or so and let you know.

> 3 dayGreat umbrella, easy to travel with. it was nearly 100 degrees the other day and I was so thankful to have respite from the heat. A few people stopped me to ask where they could get this umbrella because everyone was wilting in the heat and I was in the shade! It was still hot but the sun was not beating down on me like it would have been if I hadnt had this umbrella.

> 3 dayI wish I had something good to say, but I dont. I was so looking forward to using this umbrella, the summers here in Las Vegas are brutal. The problem with is umbrella is it flips inside out in a breeze and I not talking about a heavy duty breeze. I had to hold the strap to keep it from flipping, to no avail, it flip and broke the spine or struts or whatever their called, one of them just snapped, no support no good. I could try to super glue it, but that wont solve the main problem it flips constantly. I want to return it, but Coolibar.com wont except it, third party and Amazon wont pass 30 days, now I stuck with a piece of useless junk. I did read the reviews and I didnt see this issue, so I just say buyer beware.

> 3 dayOnly used a few times and works well to block sun when theres no wind. When there is wind, the umbrella easily collapses leading to broken frame support made out of plastic. For $50 umbrella, one would think that it would have metal instead of plastic frame support.

Greater than one weekHas protected me from extremely sunny days without sunscreen! Just having a hard time keeping it up, as it tends to pop down
