> 24 hourI got this 750GB drive during the Thanksgiving sale for $100, and at that price it is a steal, considering how it now popped back up to $215. It performs just as good as my Samsung 840 Pro 256GB and 850 Evo 500GB series SSDs, and I bought those for about $150 last year. Their prices are still holding up quite high:

> 24 hourDrive works great on my MBP.. The migration software is for a PC. Acorns image 15. Tried to install on my PC and it kept saying installer error. So if you are going to use in a Mac plan on using another program to clone with.

> 24 hour0-100 real Quick. My laptop would take literally 5 minutes to boot. Thats just to boot. Then loading programs or other things would take for ever. I was looking into buying a new laptop but Im glad I did some research first. My laptop now takes literally 5 seconds to boot. I dont do anything fancy with computers so glad I didnt have to spend on new one.

> 24 hourMy daughters 2012 MacBook Pro non-retina was really getting slow, due in part to her abuse, and age. Replaced with the MX300; wow what a difference. Did not clone her old drive, did a clean install of the OS and all the other software on it. Amazing how much faster this computer is now. Love it, well worth the price and time.

> 24 hourItem as described. Good performance. I did face an issue when using the cloning software that came with the product. In between the cloning process it became unresponsive so I had to power off the PC and do a fresh install. I dont mind this as I could easily get all the data back from my old drive. However always backup your data before attempting to do clone option and if you dont mind installing applications again, it will be best to start fresh with a clean install.

> 24 hourExcellent quality of hard drive. The included software did the job of migrating correctly and easily, but contained some annoying adware.

> 24 hourEven though I did not get to try these specific 525gb drives out I own plenty of them in various sizes. Well, My rating is not because of the lack of performance on the drive but its lack of compatibility of utility software on other operating systems other than Windows... Cmon Crucial.. Extremely Disappointed in the blatant disregard of supporting a huge customer base of your product. Not only do I use these on my Linux based servers but in my MacBook Pro. So the responses I have received back regarding the unimportance of the software which if true stop advertising it so boldly on your packaging e.g. Storage Executive which increases drive to blazing speeds!!! Supported Operating Systems • Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) • Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) • Windows 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit) Yet oddly enough there is no mention on the packaging of this limitation? Or the fact it does not support Raid. Why? Is it not important? I know I would like to have the utilities to tweak my optimal performance also especially thats why I purchased them for my raid db servers and MacBook Pro.. and no I do not wish to go spend my time to R&D other solutions supported by major customer base Operating Systems. I could understand if I was trying to get this to work on some absurd setup. Wake up or hopefully the consumers will and stop buying deceptive marketed drives. I am not allowed to post the link to the PDF but it can be found...

> 24 hourThus far has been working out for me. However, the software supplied might give you issues on clinging so just a heads up use Google and research if this happens. I got the software Aomei to help me out and worked very nice plus it keeps the drive together when cloning because Windows has a known thing to partition the drive weather you like it or not.

> 24 hourWorked flawlessly out of the box. I purchased this to replace a failing disk drive in a Lenovo Y500 laptop. Worked like a charm, no issues. Your mileage may vary, make sure your laptop or whatever actually supports 6GB/s SATA; I purchased a very similar Crucial MX-part SSD for an older HP laptop, that did NOT work because that particular laptops controller was too old. Boot times are fantastic. I did not use the included acronis software link, I instead use the free MACRIUM REFLECT software I already had on my prime PC to do the disk image backup and restore to the SSD.

> 24 hourGot this drive to upgrade an Asus laptop that I recently purchased. I was migrating from an older Asus Laptop and I had also purchased a USB to SATA cable to image the drive. I found out that you cannot image the drive through a USB and have it bootable. Both machines were running Windows 10. I used Macrium Reflect free for doing a backup of my old drive to another external hard drive over USB. I then created a USB boot drive using the utility in Macrium Reflect (boot and recovery/restore tools)...set the BIOS in my new laptop to boot from the USB drive...installed the Crucial drive in my new laptop...booted using the USB drive...and then restored the three partitions from the backup (separate USB drive) to the new Crucial drive. I then used the utility to fix the boot sector (1st partition) then shut down the computer. I then crossed my fingers and rebooted...it booted normally and discovered the new hardware and installed the correct drivers. I found that you must have the SSD drive hooked up to a SATA interface and do a restore instead of cloning the old drive directly (I had tried this first without success). I hope this helps anyone looking to upgrade their laptop.
