My old HDD was slow and making my Pc feel outdated and borderline useless. Losing my data in a transfer was a big concern. Crucials Acronis program made the cloning process flawless. My pc operates better now than I can ever remember. Gaming is much improved.

Bought this 2TB drive to replace an old 500 GB drive in an even older home-built system. It was a Seagate Momentus XT from back in the day when SSDs cost thousands of dollars. The Momentus combined a 4 GB SLC SSD with a platter and used SW to pre-stage your most often accessed data on the SSD. Needless to say, the Crucial MX blows away what was, at the time, some pretty impressive technology. Two things you need to know:

This is a very good SSD. It is fast, reliable, strong, etc I fully recommend it. If you do not store a lot of movies, pictures, graphics and photos, the capacity is OK. I have many different programs, but I dont have to many archives, and still I have half of the device empty. If you need more, you need a 500 GB ~1TB. Take into account that those are much more expensive.

Once you have the data cable and the software to do the job...cloning your existing drive and installing as a proverbial snap...my old laptop ran extremely slow and I put off upgrading in favor of a new laptop. Just on a whim I thought I should upgrade my old one for a backup as well.

As always crucial nailed it. Reliable product for a great price. Will purchase again!

Ive had this install for over 6 months now, and it works like a charm everything is much quicker snappier. Well worth the purchase.
