gave new life to an 11,1 imac. just be aware that an older imac has a slower bus (see you hardware profile for your bus throughput) so you wont get full benefit of ssd capability, but its still pretty good.

I have not installed the drive, used it as back until the original one dies.

Really dig the Crucial MX500 series. Fast, excellent 4K random read, great endurance. Storing data on SSD makes life so nice. Blender is much snappier now.

In fact, I installed one on another computer just this week. Thank you for a great product.
