I havent written a review for over 10 years or more. I was suffering with an aging Lenovo laptop of about 7 years that I use daily. I looked into replacement, but to get features I wanted I was talking well over $1,000 and not really gaining that much. I had upgraded the memory about 5 years ago. But I looked into this SSD and it would double my present disk capacity. So I bought it and then hesitated about the install. Why? Because of the plastic screws!! So I read reviews/forums, etc. People were divided about 50/50 over whether they replaced all the screws as recommended. I finally decided to go ahead figuring, if I ended up with a bad screw or two, I could replace them after the fact. Boy, am I glad I did!! The cloning went easily. The install was a breeze. And it started right up!! And the speed!!! Now my laptop boots completely in about 45 seconds! Before I would be waiting minutes for all the startup stuff to load up. And its quiet as a mouse. And no noise at all. I am extremely happy and I think you will be too. So dont hesitate. Just do it!!

Works great, Surprising it has better software than samsungs drives, ( samsung wasnt able to clone my drive, but Crucials drive did)

Pro:

Even though I downsized from 1TB to 500GB (by moving archive files off to an external drive,) I am very happy with the performance. Boot time has dropped from several minutes to 15-20 seconds. Startup times for applications and web page loading times have also dropped significantly. Cant comment on longevity yet as this was a Black Friday purchase, but I am extremely pleased with performance improvement so far.

Habe inzwischen 3 dieser SSD Platten in den Laptop von uns und von meiner Tochter eingebaut.

Mac is much faster now!!
