DANIEL SMITH 285610005 Extra Fine Essentials Introductory Watercolor, 6 Tubes, 5ml, Blue/Transparent/Yellow

I have not really put these to use. But I like all of Daniel Smith watercolors.

The paints themselves are wonderful (which is what I would expect from Daniel Smith) and the price is good. My only issue is that the tubes looked as if theyd been opened and put back, and the packaging looked a bit worn. If I hadnt needed the paints for a class that started this week, I might have sent them back but needed to keep them since I have no other place to buy them quickly. Id imagine that these were returned because the previous purchaser hadnt realized that the tubes would be so small (5 ml. versus the more common 15 ml. size). So if youre looking for the larger tubes, this set isnt right for you. Its good for experimentation, especially when taking a class and buying paint according to the instructors recommendations. If I decide I like these hues, Ill buy the larger size next time.

Sind wie gewohnt sehr schön und leuchtkräftig, leider sind sie schädlich für Wasserorganismen, ansonsten eine der Spitzenmarken im Aquarellland! Super zu verarbeiten, ergiebig, leuchtkräftig, die Farbe vom nassen bis zum trockenen Zustand sind keine großen Veränderungen wie bei anderen Marken, leider etwas teuer, dafür Spitzenqualität!

but I do. Daniel Smith watercolors are officially my favorite! They are so vibrant, creamy, and granulating. Im self-taught, so the only other artist quality watercolors Ive used are Turners (which are lively). I started using watercolors in May of 2018...Im hooked!!! If you are on the fence regarding this set, jump off and buy them. You will not be disappointed (in my opinion).

You can create really rich and vivid washes with these. The pigments are amazing and the colors are very easy to work with.

The colors are very dark even with alot of water; not primary colors like I had hoped for. The tubes are ultra tiny. These watercolors are way too expensive for such a small amount. Do not recommend buying these.

Professional watercolor perfect of a slip color wheel. Only one of them wasn’t the perfect color for the slip color wheel. Since them I have decided the my color brand will be Daniel Smith.

What can I say? These are superior to other watercolor paints. Pricier, but gorgeous!

Wow, these are really fun paints, they are a little unusual in that they dont mix the same as regular Daniel Smith watercolours; thats not to say you can not mix them. The amethyst is super sparkly and the Jadeite is just beautiful. I would recommend these as a great intro to the Primatek line.
