> 24 hourLove love love these Daniel Smith paints. The colors are vibrant. I am however practicing my watercolor techniques using cheaper watercolors to begin with and it won’t be long before I use my new Daniel Smith watercolors. I will probably post another review once I have used them a little more. The tubes of paint are small but they pack a powerful punch when using them.

> 24 hourI love Daniel Smith paint. It has the good primary mixing colors. Small tubes are good for plenair painting.

> 24 hourIve been using the student-grade Cotman paints by Winsor and Newton (tube and pan). They are fine, but I have noticed when Ive tried to achieve some effects (even on Arches paper), they just wont do what I want. Wont disperse properly, etc. I was reluctant to spend still more on paints, but figured I could mix all of the colours Id want with these *tiny* 5 ml tubes. I was shocked to find how pigmented these are, and really no longer discouraged by the size due to that. If you have been on the fence about whether to get these or the slightly lower-priced (at my local art shop) Cotman 12-pan set, just get these and skip the frustration.
