Ive heard so much about the Daniel Smith brand and have always thought they were just an overpriced brand, but I figured I would give it a try before I made my final say. AND... I couldnt be more wrong! The colors are just in a class of its own! I absolutely love how it flows! I will surely be ordering more when I save more money up, since watercoloring is just a hobby for me. But seriously, if youre new or have wondered what Daniel Smith is all about, please give it a try.

I absolutely love these colors! They flow beautifully due to their granulating properties. This means that youll have specks of pigment in your finished product, but the results are gorgeous. The amethyst is my favorite because it sparkles as if it has glitter! And the green is my pick for florals. Granulation adds such a beautiful texture to the piece that other brands look flat by comparison.

I really enjoy DS watercolors. This set offers a great selection of their primatek colors. The tubes are small but I knew that when ordering. At $4 a tube they were a great price compared to ordering them individually. The jadeite and amethyst are favorites.

I do not know what sheerness means in relation to paint. But what I can tell you, as a new person to watercolor, I love them. These were recommended by an artist for beginners. I followed that persons link and these popped up. I didnt know then what warm and cool colors were. So when I received them I was surprised that there wasnt warm and cool colors. They looked the same. The artist helped me to understand why. I have since used them and can make a large variety of colors. I absolutely love them.

I love semiprecious stones and watercolor. It was inevitable that Id buy these. Im still experimenting, but theyre very fun to use, especially if you like granulating colors.

Missing a color, double of another color. Very disappointed. Was excited to use these today. Too expensive not to return and get all six listed colors somewhere else.
