The color selection is good. Very nice paints.

These are hands down the best watercolors Ive ever used. Ive dried them on a palette and used them straight from the tube, and theyre absolutely gorgeous both ways. Theyre gorgeously saturated, vibrant, and transparent. Not to mention how amazing this color selection is, and at an amazing price for Daniel Smith. You can whip up any color you can dream of with these six tubes. The only problem? Im totally addicted to Daniel Smith now.

Primatek is not a beginner paint. Great set to try.

I highly, highly recommend these paints. Ive used them a lot and have compared them to many other watercolors. This is the most affordable introduction to DANIEL SMITH watercolors which are used all over the world. You will find a small dab of these highly pigmented paints goes a very long way and will save you money in the long run. You may have to practice a little and re-think your water to paint ratio if you are used to less expensive, weaker paints.

I was surprised by how small these tubes were but their size IS put in the description so this isn’t a negative comment. They’re the size of my pinky but they hold enough to fill my pans fill with plenty leftover in my tube. The colors are vibrant and activate easily in the pan I put them in.

I love this brand of water color paint! I urge any beginner to get some basic instruction on how to properly dilute the paint before using it. But its easy to use and the colors are beautiful.

Excellent professional watercolor. A little goes a very long way, so they’ll last for a long time. Each tube is approx. one and a half pans. Rich, beautiful color.

These colours are beautiful and highly granulating. I think if I bought them again I would not pour into pans as they don’t activate easily once dried.
