I have installed this unit underneath my swimming platform on the back of my boat, as of right now this unit have last me throughout the entire boating season and still operate as if it was the day I bought it. However the black paint was peeling the day I received the package.

> 3 dayI decided to check the gears in this thing and they mere metal and not plastic like other ones. Im sure they still have their limits and can brake but for what I use them they are enough. They are also fast and very quiet. Will buy more

> 3 dayThe actuator was installed and is working ok for now, but the brackets didn’t fit. The hole that attaches it to the actuator had to be drilled larger to line up with the actuator and this adds slope to the installation. I am worried that if quality control couldn’t insure accuracy on this simple issue how well is the rest of actuator built. I would not purchase this brand again, I just ordered three more from a different manufacturer.
